They improve vehicle performance
We have these in all our vehicles. When we installed them we GAINED 1 mile per our average per gallon we had been receiving. Subaru Outback from 31 to 32 GMC Canyon from 20 to 21. Proof they are great for our vehicles.

Noticeable improvement in throttle response over stock air filter due to oiled cotton filter flowing more air. Likely slightly better mileage as well but I have not seen that yet as my truck is new. Will it let in more dirt than stock? Yes but I have run these in the past for long periods on previous trucks with no issues. I will run this until AFE’s dry panel filter is easier to find in stock or AEM or Airaid (both K&N owned companies) put out a dry filter.
