This candle worked right out of the box after installing the batteries. It does not come with a remote so you have to either cut it on and off manually or set the timer. When they say it is chalky that means it has a bit of a while cast on it, but it does not take away from the beauty of the candle....it is still mostly greenI and I think it enhances the look!

Love these Luminara so much! They are so beautiful and warming. I loved the color so much I purchased two. Reminds me of a lotus the Irish cream. I have this in the green as well

I love candlelight but worry about leaving an open flame, so I’ve tried out a few flameless candle options. These are real wax and look like the real thing. The “flame” movement and the warm color is pretty convincing. Def the most realistic I’ve tried. Best of all, batteries last much longer in these than in other brands.

Love my little artichoke. Just put him out with all my springtime decor getting ready for the upcoming season. The size is perfect on my shelves. Love the chalky exterior. Very cute and of course, luminara never fails with their overall quality and design. I highly recommend anything from this company!

My wife and I quite literally have over 20 candles in our house made by Luminara. We're big fans of LED candles as they provide a safe and beautiful alternative to wax burning candles. Well, the most beautiful ones are made by Luminara with that signature flicker.*What I liked*:My favorite candles by Luminara are ones that come in unusual shapes. They make plenty of pillar style candles (which we have a fair number of), but I really like the unusual ones like this artichoke shaped figural candle. The design and craftsmanship on the wax body is excellent.As mentioned above, this wouldn't be a Luminara candle without that beautiful flicker. You really have to see it in person to believe it. Anything more than 5 feet away from the candle and it's almost impossible to tell the difference between it and a real flame. That's why we've become such fans. This candle is no exception. Love it!*What I didn't like*:As with most Luminara candles the one minor complaint I have here is the cost. At about $50 as of the time of review, that's a real steep price to pay for a single candle. It's a little worse when you consider the fact that these are compatible with a remote control, but do not come with one at this price.*The Bottom Line:*As with almost all of our other Luminara candles, this one is a hit. The unusual shape, real wax body, and gorgeous flicker make this yet another of our favorite LED candles. Despite the high price, I still think this deserves five stars out of five. You just can't find that flicker anywhere else. I would definitely order this over again.

WOW! Luminara's are the absolute best flameless candles - from the realistic flicker straight from the Imagineers at the Happiest Place on Earth to the long lasting battery life - they are awesome! It's packaged well so it arrived safely. Designed Luminara's are hard to find, so if and when you can locate one that speaks to you or your decor, grab it! Just add batteries to create a fun statement in your home. This solid Luminara artichoke (pinecone? during fall and winter) has an awesome presence and is simply stunning!!

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this Artichole Liminara Fungal Flameless Candle to add to my collection of “retro-ish” items that match my 1960’s décor in my home. It makes a nice addition to the other stuff of the same genre I have decorating my office.It comes in a nice, gift-presentable box-in-a-box format. Simply taking it out of the box, stuffing in two AA batteries (provided, thanks) and turning it on adds a nice glow to my environment.The dusty green color is great. It offsets other items in my environment nicely.The only improvement would be if the flameless candle light emanated deeper into the artichoke itself which would add some welcome dimension. The flame itself is a bit “fake-ish” but that’s no detractor for me.The candle would make a great party or other almost gag gift. I love it.
