I bought the AEB-L version with light micarta scales, and its a near perfect EDC knife. The handle is just long enough for a full grip and the blade is short enough to do reasonable EDC work while being concealable. It fits perfectly and holds the sheath tightly onto your pants pocket. Its ($8.49) here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D76823BX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 .There's no way you are going to find a better sized blade that's easy to carry either on the belt or in your pocket with premium steel options for fifty bucks. You can buy this knife in CPM 3V or AEB-L with micarta scales, its excellent fitting kydex sheath and belt clip + soft loops +the pocket clip and you still haven't spent $72 bucks.By this before Kizer comes to its senses and raises the price by $25.

This review is for the Sandalwood Handled, Nitro V, full size Harpoon. This is a fantastic knife, and came wicked sharp right out of the box. The blade length is just right, and is very slicey. The spine is a nice and sharp 90 degrees which is great for striking ferrocerium rods. the sandalwood handle is beautiful and is just big enough for my 2xl glove sized hands (Though I may add a lanyard for a bit extra purchase). The knife when sheathed can be pocket carried if you have pants with larger pockets such as BDUs, but might be a bit big for smaller pockets and tighter pants. Also in regard to pocket carry, the thumb ramp on the sheath can be used to deploy the knife if used against the side of the pocket (may take a little practice.). This is very likely to become my daily EDC fixed blade. Over all, this is a very nice knife and cannot be beat for the price (50$ as of 5-6-2025)

no detent at all! seller said to get to try a heat gun and work with it maybe, but that didn't work.a person needs the proper tools to work with kydex, and i dont have them. If i were setup to build kydex sheaths myself I think id buy the blade I want then build my own sheath for it. A foldover sheath just like this one, but with a real strong detent for sure. The the foldover/taco style sheath is what pushed me to choose this knife in the first place. But its... its just not too good this time.I gave it two stars as a really like the knife.It's a big bummer. I must have the worst luck! guess it has to go back.Now the choice; try a second one or try something different? all the looking done for what i wanted this was closest choice. i guess we'll try one more time. what a drag!UPDATE 07JUN2022:I got a replacement.WOW! totally awesome! up'd the rating to 5 stars . This knife snaps into the kydex just the way you'd hope for. Very happy now. Not sure why some say its small, maybe they have bigger hands than mine? I wear a large work glove.I’m wondering if that last one was someone’s return that got mixed in with new as the two items were in differing conditions inside the box. But that doesn’t really matter as this replacement is everything I’d hoped it was to be when I’d initially chose it.This is perfect size and weight for an EDC fixed blade. I love it!I still wish it was 1095hc though. But D2 is much better than plain ole' stainless steel (imo).UPDATE MARCH15, 2023;I love mine so much i bought one for my little brother. I checked it, bevels are perfect, and sharp. And the kydex sheath detent is completely tight and perfect. My brother was happy with his birthday present!

It's a nice knife. So my experience is as follows. I bought the 3v micarta variant. I have large hands and I can get a full 4 finger grip. Not the most ergonomic handle, I would've like to seen them round the end of handle rather then that flat part as it does affect comfortably. I received my first variant that the sheath rivet was off and caused the knife to be loose. I returned it because I like the sharpness and quality overall but that was a manufacturing defect. Then Amazon sends a replacement in their famous plastic bubble wrap packaging. Anways the knife was loose and caused the plastic casing to go through the tip during shipping. Surprisingly I inspected it and the edge was not damaged. (3v is a great tough steel.) Overall the rivets are actually properly placed. But like others the quality control could be better. And I think it's a nice knife for the price. It's a small knife and I use it as a neck knife. Small imperfections can be overlooked and this is a great knife. Overall I am grateful and satisfied with it. I could recommend it. More than likely won't buy anymore knives from Kizer however though.

I’ve got the aeb-l + micarta version! really nice edc knife. Without clip, so it’s super compact and lightweight - i just carry it in my pocket. Out of curiosity, I tried breaking down some meat at home - for such a small knife, it actually did great!Takes a bit of getting used to the choil area (well, there’s technically no choil, but you know - that spot under the heel).I chamfered it a bit on mine so i don’t nick my finger, and now it feels perfect. the shape is super comfy too - great for quick cuts while on the go.Not amazing for wood carving, but honestly, after using a mora or mora wood carving knife, pretty much any compact folder feels meh in that department. still, for daily tasks it’s awesome.Im a big fan of 14c28n, so i went with aeb-l as the closest match - even though everyone seems to recommend 3v.
