Great for taller riders, sturdy build—but with a few design flaws and helpful tips
I’ve been using the Hornback Xpand for 10 days, and here’s my honest experience: The seat height is taller than most other cycles, making it ideal for riders between 5'5" and 6' ✅. I’m 6ft and it fits me well. However, a 26-inch wheel version would’ve been great for shorter users ⚠️. One issue is the handlebar locking mechanism. It has sharp edges, and while standing and riding, it scraped and even tore my skin a few times ⚡. I had to add tape over it for safety. It also tends to chip the frame’s paint 🎨. The foldable handlebar is also quite tight—could’ve been smoother to operate 🔧. On the positive side, the side stand is very sturdy and reliable 💪. It holds the cycle up well even on slightly uneven surfaces, which is great. Folding tip: One thing that isn’t mentioned in the tutorial video—but is important—is to fold the pedals first before folding the frame ⚙️. I struggled quite a bit trying to fold the cycle without doing that, not realizing it was necessary. Once I folded the pedals, everything else worked more smoothly ✔️. This should be clearly shown in the instruction video to avoid confusion. Pricing tip that could save you money: I initially ordered the cycle for ₹14,500 💸. Just two days later, I saw the price drop to ₹13,500, and with bank discounts, it was down to ₹12,300 🤑. I ordered it again at the lower price and tried to cancel the first one. I then got a call from the seller/delivery team ☎️. I explained what happened and asked if they could give me the original cycle at the lower price instead. To my surprise, they agreed—they canceled the new order, refunded the ₹14,500 I paid initially, and gave me the original cycle for ₹12,300 ✅. So, I didn’t have to return or reorder—just had to ask! Bottom line: A solid foldable cycle with good features for taller riders 🚲. There are some minor design flaws, and the folding mechanism has a learning curve, but with a few adjustments and a little patience, it works well. Just watch out for price drops—you might save a decent amount if you act quickly and contact support ⏳.

Foldable & Easy to transport
Pros: 1. Very good bicycle with very good build quality. 2. Foldable & Easy to transport. 3. Pedalling is very smooth. It's the best affordable bicycle that I have ever had. There is no mud guards available along with the cycle, but as per my request, they have supplied it for me. Cons: 1. Folding & Unfolding is not so easy. Have to practice those. First time Unfolding was a very difficult. 2. My cycle's shock absorber started to rust. So clean it regularly. 3. Do not try to tighten & loosen the Screws, as it can damage your cycle. Just clean it & use it regularly. 4. Donot try to push the handle lock while you are riding. It can cause accident. 5. The Screws to fix the mud guards are not appropriate as you can see it the picture above.

"Overpriced, Uncomfortable, and Poorly Built — Not for Tall Riders"
Edit: The left pedal just comes off, I tighten it at a cycle repair shop and it immediately in 100 meters comes off. Huge quality control issues. DO NOT BUY THIS JUST BECAUSE IT was on SHARK TANK OR FOLDABLE 1. Not for tall person, false claims by hornback: I am 6ft 2 inches, it is mentioned in the hornback website as well that this frame works for my height, but it doesn't. Even when the seat is at its highest adjustable point, my knees remain visibly bent at the lowest position of pedal. I have to bent a lot to even touch just the fingers to the handle bar, hence it is impossible to have a upright resting position on this bike because the handlebars are so down for my height 2. Rusty handle bar joints The points where the handle bars can be rotated in to fold are rusted at delivery and get stuck or require lots of efforts to unfold and fold 3. The left pedal started making an irritating and loud squeaky noise on every pedal in just 20kms of riding. 4. The folding process injured me multiple times with bruises and bleeding. The fold is very inconsistent (as to where the position of the left pedal should be: whether the joint will click perfectly on completing fold, etc) 5. On uphill it takes a lot of efforts, at level road after a certain point and 20kmph speed, no matter how much you pedal there is no resistance and hence no speed. 6. The front disc of the brake has contact with the brake pads even when the brake is not presses which makes an irritating vibrating sound at certain speeds 7. The seat had to be fixed with a spanner within 20 kms of ride as it became loose and would oscillate front and rear and sideways. 8. It should have had lockout in its suspension for the price point, as for most roads it just drains the efforts of the rider especially on climb 9. If it wasn't for the foldability, this cycle is absolutely worthless. It is good for short distance, bad condition roads and medium height guys.

Need to know before you buy
Still big in size after fold. Left padel stucks after fold, one can feel pressure on same. Few parts remove or fall easily. Fitting to check. No mud guard and bell with cycle, which are mandatory.
