Worked perfectly for an internal kick drum mic
If you are sick of people backing up into your kick mic stand and ripping your ported reso head, again, then install an internal mic in your kick. This little product works great to achieve just that. Many options including DIY are available to do an internal kick mic. This is the final piece you will need to connect from the mic to the provided xlr jack which you mount into your kick drum shell. Measure the jack carefully, and get the proper size spade drill bit. Find a good spot out of the way on the shell, but not too close to the floor. You gotta leave room for the jack on the cable. Painter's tape both sides of the hole well, and drill through the tape to get a clean hole. Works great, no issues. Why? Saves floor space, no mic stand, consistent mic positioning/sound, plug and play. Lose that pesky kick mic stand for good.
