I loved how it showed AI in real-world situations, like voice assistants or how it’s helping in farming and health care. It really opened my eyes to how much AI is already part of daily live. The section on ethics and future innovations was a big bonus. It got me thinking about how AI could impact my family and career. If you’re like me, curious but clueless, this book is the perfect place to start. It’s practical, easy to follow and genuinely interesting! Review: Timely, well-written, comprehensive, and useful - Lembo has written a comprehensive, well-documented introduction to a timely, somewhat controversial topic. She writes for the ordinary, non-technical reader in an upbeat, positive style with dozens of easily recognized and understood, real-life examples. She breaks down technical vocabulary, explains how AI works behind the scenes, presents current and future uses, and explores problems and ethics. I particularly like the section “Choosing the Right Tool” because she describes many current applications for productivity, health, creativity, and other areas that anyone might find helpful. Another important section on investing in AI includes a list of some major companies and their specialties. Lembo does not shy away from the pros and cons of some potentially useful but yet worrisome projects. She leaves the reader with a good foundation, ideas for incorporating AI into our lives, and much to think about.

A fantastic overview of AI, its uses, impact, ethics and future!
No matter how you currently feel about AI, it's here to stay and will shape our future. As such, it's important to educate ourselves so that we not only remain in the driver's seat, but can utilize AI to our best advantage as it gets more embedded into our daily lives. I was looking for a book that would give me a solid foundation of what AI is, it's current uses, it's future uses, and how I could actually use it personally, and "The Complete Beginner's Guide to AI" did not disappoint! I really loved this book! It was easy to read, yet comprehensive. It included every single topic about AI that I've wondered about and gave a really good foundational overview. The book starts with the different levels of AI and terms, then moves to examples of how we use AI in our everyday life today, then moved on to the areas of life that AI is impacting in a greater way, and then moved on to the future, ethics, responsible AI education, etc. I particularly loved the topics of AI in farming practices, environmental practices, creative sectors, financial sectors and educational sectors. I also deeply appreciated the fact that the book went into the ethics of AI and how we should use it responsibly as we educate future generations, etc. Overall, I think this book is an incredible resource to help cut through the white noise and fear of what AI is, and helps us to better understand how we can use a technology that is definitely going to become more a part of our daily lives, now and in the future. I'd recommend this book to everyone as a must read!

Excellent starting point for anyone looking to better understand AI and its impacts
This book is a useful read for anyone who are either just starting out or are somewhat more knowledgeable about AI. It explores the many possible implications and applications of artificial intelligence. It is about getting to know what AI is, where it came from and how the future may be headed. The book is well structured, offers lots of insights and sources that were well researched and documented by the author. This guide did an excellent job of breaking down the complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand language that non-technical readers can grasp. For me, this was a very enjoyable and informative read.

Clear Discussion of all facets of AI
I found this book to be an engrossing and thorough review of the state of AI today. It provides a comprehensive treatment of all facets of AI that we encounter daily. It is not “techie” in any measure, but it provides enough of a background on the width and pace of technical advancements to make you stop and think. It made me realize how AI has slowly but surely inserted itself into almost every aspect of our lives. It wasn’t one giant advancement but a host of improvements that over the past ten years has become part of almost every application we use. Ms. Lembo’s outlook is not a promise of clear, blue skies; she discusses some of the pitfalls we must look out for. My view of the future is more pessimistic than hers. I remember thinking that having widespread Internet access would be good for everyone, but we have managed to not only generate excellent, useful applications, but also create toxic social media platforms that are dividing rather than uniting us. I hope her view of the future is the one we see.
