I cannot get this item to work although I follow the instructions. It just stops spinning. Bitterly disappointed.

Works as described and works well 🙂
Once I got the hang of using it and really got it to spin up and create a tight circles, especially with just your fingertips, it really works the forearms enhance. I can feel blood flowing and the tingling sensation of a good work out and a good amount of arm pump, I love gyroscopics 🙂 great desk toy.I just got it, let's see howing it lasts.

Amazing gadget
So I came across this spinner while researching about carpal tunnel cures and exercises. This popped up in one of my searches and looked it up on Youtube. I was skeptical at first and I know I've only had it for a week, but I can tell right away that it somewhat energized my forearms and wrist. Best to watch the instructional videos in the internet so you can learn the different techniques. I have to say that this is worth the money. I've actually recommended this to some of my co workers who have carpal tunnel.

Wrist Health
A superb product for strengthening the arm and wrist. Just a few minutes and your done. Also helps with carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow. I find it useful for people suffering from Parkinson’s as it creates a counter nutation providing some relief from involuntary movements.

Good price, good quality, all you need!
I have had numerous power balls in the past, and I think this one is my favorite. This ball has an auto start feature, which is convenient, but it lacks the colored led lights and and the electronics display at the top. As far as I’m concerned, the electronics are not necessary or desired because the addition of the electronic disc at the top of the ball hurts the palm of your hand and your hand covers the display most of the time. The colored lights are fun at first, but not necessary to the task of building hand and forearm strength. This ball runs quiet with no real vibration and I can use it while watching TV with my wife without her giving me “The Eye” if you know what I mean! If you are new to having a powerball or an experienced powerball user this is a good choice and is all you will ever need.

Once you have the correct motion down this works wonderfully.
For all the reviews that state something along the line of "quickly spins down" or similar, you simply need to get the motion of your wrist correct. As stated in the instructions (and various videos), once the spinner is moving you need to use a steady "stirring" motion with your hand/wrist to get the gyro to keep spinning. It only took me a couple of tries to get this working - but others may need a bit of practice. Note that the starter is just that. It will get the spinner moving fast enough to start, but nowhere near fast enough to offer much resistance. Once you get the RPMs up, the resistance you feel increases quickly.I got the auto-start model and wind it with my thumbs. For those that don't have the hand strength to do so you may find that pulling the wheel across a countertop is an easier way to wind it.Because the torque push back you feel in your hand is directly related to the speed the spinner is moving, you are in complete control of how hard of workout your hands / wrists / forearms get. If you keep the speed fairly slow, it will be a very easy exercise. If you make the spinner go very quickly, you will be giving your hand a very firm workout.I purchased this to help rehabilitate my hand after breaking it. I'd lost nearly all my grip strength after having a cast on for about 7 weeks. This has helped a great deal and I find it much more fun to use than some of the other tools I've also been using like rehab putty and grip springs.
