Incredible Headphones
Wow. Where to start.... First off, the sound is incredible. I am coming from the lower priced DT 770 (80ohm) that I have had for a good 12 years and felt I would treat myself. I use them purely for listening to audio (no studio work or mixing). I listen to a lot of music through Quboz and have a few USB sticks full of lossless audio ripped from CDs. Best decision ever to get these. The sound from these is superb. Mid and Treble levels are spot on for me. And the Bass is just perfect. Heavy when it needs to be and subtle if the track needs it. When listening to something like Tool and Laterus, every frequency is just right and the base is exactly as it should be. However, despite these being a lower Ohm to make them easier to drive from devices like mobiles. I found that they still need sufficient power to get the best out of them. Plugged into my mobile (Sony Xperia 1) the sound was good but nearly maxed out the volume to get them to a sensible volume level, and then the bass wasn't as well produced. From my Laptop, the sound improved and the bass was fuller and the frequencies better and the volume levels were right. But plugged into my Marantz Cinema 70 AV Amp - just Wow. Absolute perfection due to the built in dedicated headphone amp that Marantz have in their AV receivers. So beware that to really get the best from these, they do still need the right amplification. This can easily be achieved with a headphone amp and it is well worth it. Best headphones I have had. And I also own a set of showers and Wilkins S7S2 Bluetooth headphones. And as great as they are. I know that you can never get the same quality over Bluetooth compared to a wired connection. And these are simply the best sounding headphones I have ever owned.

Professional headphones for those who take audio work seriously.
This is perhaps the best audio experience I’ve had in the category of studio monitor headphones. The sound is incredibly distinctive and, most importantly, precise. If you want to hear every flaw in a mix, these headphones will reveal them 100%! For casual use, your favourite music will sound completely different, and you’ll realise you were practically deaf before, listening to music through baked beans. Getting to the point without emotion, I compared the sound to my Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO X. Yes, it’s a different league, but still very good sound. So, here’s how the DT 1770 PRO MKII compares. Sound Compared to the DT 990 PRO X, which has a characteristic V-shaped frequency response, making it more enjoyable for casual listening but potentially fatiguing during long sessions, the DT 1770 PRO MKII offers a more neutral and accurate sound, especially in the midrange. The highs are clean, and the bass is controlled, deep, but not exaggerated. These headphones provide a precise soundstage, allowing confident mixing and mastering. They’re particularly excellent for critical listening and working with vocals. Build Quality Both models are well-built, but the DT 1770 PRO MKII stands out with superior material quality. The metal headband, detachable earpads (velour and leather included), and sturdy case all feel distinctly “premium.” Comfort Both models are reasonably comfortable, as far as that goes, but while the DT 990 PRO X is lighter, they press on my head below the ears, around the back of the neck, if I can describe it that way. The DT 1770 PRO MKII, on the other hand, press more above the ears, closer to the temples, but cause far less discomfort. Of course, this is highly subjective and depends on my head’s anatomy. Isolation The closed-back design provides excellent sound isolation. You can easily record vocals, instruments, or work in noisy environments—nothing leaks out, and nothing distracts you. Verdict The DT 1770 PRO MKII isn’t just a pair of headphones; it’s a professional audio tool. Yes, the price is above average, but it’s fully justified by the quality, sound, and reliability. If you’re serious about audio work, this is exactly what you need. I recommend them without hesitation.

3 Rules of an audiophile
Rule Number 1: Headphones must be from Germany or Japan. Rule Number 2: It should be 1 Driver Dynamic full size Headphones. Rule Number 3: New headphones almost always beat older model. These 3 simple rules of an experienced audiophile allow you to avoid all bad headphones and buy only good headphones. These headphones check all 3 rules and they sound aMMMMMazing! Forward punchy sound, forward mids, deep punchy base, very detailed highs. Also these headphones are super comfortable, well made and with 2 cables and caring bag. Insane resolution, you can hear absolutely everything in these headphones, it is just great. As an audiophile who has more than 30 pairs of headphones from all big names I can honestly say that I am extremely satisfied. These are first headphones in my collection that are so good that I don't know what else to ask for. It is just that good. Great work, Beyerdynamic!
