This has been just right for our four year old. We use it some mornings for the daily 10mins podcast with Jake (free) which is lively and aimed at children. Sometimes we use it to guide drawings or dancing. However, we always use it each night to listen to stories (typically needing to buy Yoto cards separately but they’re very affordable. There are also some available for free but they are only ever available for a limited time). We also take the Yoto on long car journeys, typically surprising our little one with a new card. The screen shows one pixelated image per chapter and so it’s enough to guide a child through the story (so they can then navigate to and from their favourite chapters independently) without it feeling like they’re glued to a screen. There’s also a night light and wake up light function. Best purchase I’ve made for him.

This has gone down really well with a 2-year old grandchild who loves the nursery rhymes in the starter pack. I think she'll really grow into this and enjoy stories being read as she grows older. Hoping to record a few myself and see how that goes! Looks well made, robust and attractive, easy for a child to operate and multi-functional without being too complicated. Seems good value and additional cards not too pricy.

I would say this is a great investment as the content is really rich and the way the chile interact with the device is fun.

Excellent audiobook reader my grandchildren love it. Great selection of books available and the ability to produce your own is an excellent touch.

My purchase is being used by my granddaughter and she loves it. It does so much and is well worth it.

Keeps my toddler happy listening to his stories for a bit of quiet time and sometimes before he goes to sleep in the evenings. Would really suggest introducing this before a sibling arrives, it has helped us so much to keep him busy when needed.
