Three Shattered Souls (The Broken Blades, 3) Review: Must Read! - Why does it have to be over? 😩 What an ending?! I am truly hoping for some sort of spinoff series from this. The romances, shocking twists, friendships, betrayals, and strategic fighting are so wonderfully executed. The multiple POV aspect is still the greatest I have ever read. I never once was confused by it and truly felt like I understood the thoughts, actions, and personalities of each person. Pleeeeeaaasssse do yourself the favor of reading this series! Review: I Can't Wait For The Spin-Off! - This was QUITE the ending to the trilogy, let me tell you. Aeri? Still my favorite. Mikail? Sweet baby angel. Royo? What a mess, my dude. Sora? YAASS QUEEEN SLAY! Honestly, one of my favorite parts about this series was how the cover design foreshadows events in the book. I didn't catch it until after I finished reading this one, but it's SO CLEVER. The main thing I didn't like about this was the pacing. Somehow, despite having a million different points of view, the pacing was either incredibly fast, or there were 30 page sections where it felt like nothing was happening and the story was on pause. There was no in between. The best part about this series isn't even the plot--it's the way the characters bond and become a family throughout the series, and this was a great wrap up of their journey together. I genuinely think everyone met an appropriate and fitting end (even if I *do* wish things had worked out a little differently for one particular character) and wasn't let down at all. Especially with that little cliff hanger at the end.... Overall this is a great series to pick up if you want a good heist story rooted in a fantasy world that is all about the journey and the friends that become family along the way. I'm sad that it's over, but I'm definitely looking forward to the next book up Mai's sleeve!

Epic conclusion to the trilogy
I am wholly unequipped to write a worthy review of this masterpiece. I was holding my breath the entire time, because Mai Corland wrote did such a wonderful job building up this rich world with it's own mythology, history, and complex relationships that she set the bar impossibly high. Somehow, she set the bar even higher. This book is full of emotion - sadness, happiness, anger, longing, anxiety, restlessness. It's got romance, humor, revenge, and everything in between. Loved all the characters, their individual development and their growth as a group. I could not have asked for better. This book not only wraps up the major plot points that have been festering since book 1, but opens the gates for more of this world. Truly, if you enjoyed the first two, this is a MUST read. If you're debating starting the series, do it now! Epic romantasy trilogy. One of my favorite reads ever.

Great Conclusion to Series
Beautiful end page design. I really enjoyed the wrap up to this series. Such strong character development. The reader really gets to understand and care about this band of misfits via each chapter written from each individual's viewpoint. Somehow the author used this technique yet keeps the story flowing. A must read for the conclusion of this series. Unexpected ending.

kinda dragged
This book honestly dragged a bit for me. And I felt the characters became a bit stagnant. They face so much loss, and each of the handles it in a different bad way. By becoming power hungry, by becoming despondent, or by becoming drunk. I didn’t like any of the characters as much after this book.

I highly recommend it!
4.5⭐️ Three Shattered Souls by Mai Coland (The Broken Blades trilogy – Book 3) This book was one of my most anticipated reads of the year. I loved Five Broken Blades and Four Ruined Realms, and I’m so happy to say it delivered! The story started strong with a solid plot, great pacing, and a beautifully built world that pulled me in from the very first chapter of Five Broken Blades. Royo, Aeri, Sora, Mikail, and Tiyung have my heart. Each of them brings something special to the story. Their bond as a found family felt so genuine. They cared for each other so deeply, even as lies and secrets constantly threatened to pull them apart. You feel the strength of their connection through every challenge, betrayal, and moment of loyalty. The middle of the book slowed down a little, but it made sense with everything they were going through. And then—wow—the final stretch was an emotional rollercoaster. I felt everything: their pain, heartache, love, grief, and hope. The ending was beautiful and painful. It broke me in the best way. I still have questions, and some things were left open in a way, making me ache to know more about their futures. I understand why the author chose this direction, but ouch, my heart. Also, the audiobook was phenomenal and made the experience even more immersive. This trilogy has officially earned a spot on my list of top favorites. I highly recommend it!

Must read fantasy series!
4.5 🌟 Get your tissues ready because as this title implies, it’s truly soul shattering. A beautiful conclusion to a trilogy that has captured my heart. This picks up immediately after the events of book 2. There is more deception, betrayal, and loyalties questioned, but the heart of the series is really grounded in found family and love. Without spoiling anything, this was a fitting ending to the series while also leaving the door open to other possibilities with that unexpected ending. If anyone is looking for a completed fantasy series that will keep you guessing on true motivations/betrayals, leave you heartbroken, but yet full of hope for a better tomorrow, then read this immediately!
