We purchased this for a friend to use when she was working third shift and occasionally had to walk in secluded places. This has given us a peace of mind that she could contact us if there was a problem without having to constantly take out her phone to text. The green, yellow and red system works well and the messages are clear and it includes a gps map of her location. You will need a good data plan. I do recommend this product.

This makes me feel much safer. It's easy to set up and easy to remember how to use it. It come in black and white, which is nice, and it seems like they're coming out with some disguised as necklaces as well. Holding the button down makes a beep noise and sends your GPS location to your contacts. Double tapping the button vibrates the button instead of beeps, and sends a yellow alert to your contacts. Triple tapping or tapping more than three times sends a red alert to your contacts. There is also an option to have the button call your phone when you send a yellow alert, which could come in handy in a situation where you need an excuse to leave and find your contact who will come get you when they see the notification asking for help. Only you have to download the app, your contacts just need to have a phone number and a smart phone to see your location. I hope I never have to use it, but it seems to work fine and I will always have it on me just in case. Of course, you cannot contact 911 from the button. The button comes with a little case which hooks to a keychain or anything else like a belt loop, and also has a clip to clip it to your clothing or bag and to make it super easy to carry around. I received this as a graduation gift from my dad to keep me safe should I be walking home from work late at night or out with my friends and something happens.

This device worked well right out of the box. Had no issues connecting it to my cell phone and as I was playing around with it, I was able to get it to work at a good distance from my phone. I ride bikes a lot and have been forced off the road (and the bike) a couple of times by jerks in cars. Two times I was unable to get to my bike to call for help and had to wait for a stranger to stop and give me assistance. Now with the Revolar Instinct, I will be able to clip it to my jersey and should something happen, I can send for help using the alert system. One other great feature is the one click, safe check in feature. When I am out on long rides, it is now easy to let my significant other know I am OK, on the route making progress and there is no need to worry or for her to call. Keeps her happy and cuts back on phone calls that require me to stop riding. Could not be happier. One other issue, for some reason there are a lot of different prices on here for Revolar prices. I checked with them and was sent this notice. Worth repeating, cheaper devices do not mean you are getting the same product, so I thought I'd post this: BUYER BEWARE!!!! Revolar Instincts being sold by other than REVOLAR TECHNOLOGIES are being sold by UNAUTHORIZED resellers. Why does that matter? They are sold without manufacturer's warranty or customer service, may be defective due to improper storage since manufacturer, have outdated software which may NOT be updated, and you will be unable to subscribe to any of REVOLAR'S most advanced services. Caution, you will only be getting what you paid for!
