[EN] For tansparency sake: Wuben kindly provided this product for review purposes. They had no influence on my findings and the following is purely my own experience and opinion. Great and fast shipping and handling. Environmentally friendly paper based packaging. Inside you'll find the L50 flashlight itself, an instruction manual, ABE2600C Li-ion battery, USB-C charging cable, spare O-rings and a small lanyard. The L50 feels really solid and sturdy. It's IP68 waterproof rated so you know it's up for a challenge! The housing features a handy pocket clip. The battery is already pre-installed but is safeguarded with an insulation plate. There's a blue sticker on the flashlight pointing out to remove this before use. The flashlight can conveniently be charged using the provided USB-C cable and its USB-C port. It has an LED indicator to show the status. Safety features include: low battery warning and overcharge protection. The flashlight is straight-forward in operation: there's a push button on the tail which you can either use by firm or soft pressing to switch modes. In normal operation 4 brightness levels are at your disposal. With a double press you can enable the SOS strobe mode. According Wuben the 4 steady modes are respectively 5, 75, 400 and 1200 Lumens. The SOS strobe is rated at 200 Lumens. I've no means of confirming this, but I have plenty of experience with flashlights and can confirm that it is very bright. One of my favourite flashlights is my Wuben Knight X-0 with Nichia 519A LED and the L50 clearly shines brighter. Its core is more pronounced/wider and throw farther. Possible areas of improvement: - The base is not magnetic, so you can't just stick it to metal, which could be convenient sometimes - The flashlight doesn't have a locking mode. Some other flashlights for example you have to press 4 times consecutively to unlock it. But it's not a big deal as the flashlights has raised guards around the button, so the chances of inadvertently activating the light are pretty slim - Depends on taste, but the color temperature of the Osram P9 LED is pretty cold/blue tinted (opposed to say a Nichia 519A with a warmer tone and higher CRI (Color Rendering Index) for a more natural look). On the literal bright side: the P9 is brighter than the 519A. Conclusion: the Wuben L50 is a great flashlight, it's sturdy and waterproof and the Osram P9 LED in the L50 shines really bright! A great addition to someone's EDC arsenal or to keep around the house, car or take on camping trips for example. Die Taschenlampe lässt sich über das mitgelieferte USB-C-Kabel und den USB-C-Anschluss ganz einfach aufladen. Eine LED-Anzeige zeigt den Ladevorgang an. Zu den Sicherheitsfunktionen gehören eine Warnung bei niedrigem Akkustand und ein Überladeschutz. Die Bedienung der Taschenlampe ist unkompliziert: Am Ende befindet sich ein Druckknopf, mit dem sich die Modi durch festes oder leichtes Drücken wechseln lassen. Im Normalbetrieb stehen vier Helligkeitsstufen zur Verfügung. Durch zweimaliges Drücken lässt sich der SOS-Blitzmodus aktivieren. Laut Wuben sind die vier Dauermodi 5, 75, 400 und 1200 Lumen. Der SOS-Blitz hat eine Leistung von 200 Lumen. Es liegt zwar nicht in meiner Möglichkeiten dies zu bestätigen, aber ich habe viel Erfahrung mit Taschenlampen und kann bestätigen, dass sie sehr hell ist. Eine meiner Lieblingstaschenlampen ist meine Wuben Knight X-0 mit Nichia 519A LED, und die L50 leuchtet deutlich heller. Ihr Kern ist ausgeprägter/breiter und hat eine größere Reichweite. Mögliche Verbesserungsvorschläge: - Der Sockel ist nicht magnetisch, man kann ihn nicht einfach an Metall dran hängen, was vll mal praktisch wäre - Es gibt keinen Sperrmodus. Bei manchen anderen Taschenlampen muss man zum Entsperren beispielsweise viermal hintereinander drücken. Das ist hier aber kein Problem, da die Taschenlampen einen erhöhten Schutz um den Knopf haben, sodass die Gefahr eines versehentlichen Einschaltens eh sehr gering ist – Geschmackssache, aber die Farbtemperatur der Osram P9 LED ist recht kalt/blau getönt (im Gegensatz beispielsweise zu einer Nichia 519A mit wärmerem Farbton und höherem CRI (Color Rendering Index) für ein natürlicheres Aussehen). Dafür allerdings: Die P9 ist heller als die 519A. Fazit: die Wuben L50 ist eine tolle Taschenlampe. Sie ist robust und wasserdicht, und die Osram P9 LED in der L50 leuchtet richtig hell! Eine tolle Ergänzung für jedes EDC-Ausrüstung oder fürs Haus, Auto oder z.B. zum mitnehmen auf ihre Ausflüge.

Ho scoperto il marchio Wuben anni fa quando ho acquistato una piccola ma efficientissima torcia X0. Mi ha impressionato la qualità del prodotto, e dopo la X0 ho aggiunto alla mia collezione una X3, poi una G2 e infine una X2 Pro. Il mio ultimo acquisto è una Wuben L50, che a differenza della altre che ho citato è una classica “torcia a forma di torcia”, che viene consegnata in una ecologica confezione in carta riciclata. La qualità è quella a cui Wuben ci ha abituati: realizzata in lega di alluminio si impugna molto bene ed è resistente all’acqua e alla polvere (grado di protezione IP68). Lo scomparto per la batteria è protetto da una guarnizione tipo o-ring, e nella confezione ne vengono fornite altre due di scorta. Sul corpo è presente una clip per agganciare la torcia alla cintura. L’alimentazione proviene da una classica pila al litio tipo 18650, che si ricarica mediante una presa standard USB-C (il cavetto è fornito) vicino alla quale è presente un LED indicatore di carica in corso/fine carica. Nella confezione sono inclusi anche un cinghiolo da polso e un foglio di istruzioni con una breve spiegazione in diverse lingue, fra cui l’italiano, mentre la descrizione completa delle caratteristiche è (come spesso accade) in lingua inglese. E veniamo alla luce. La torcia impiega un LED tipo P9 (presumibilmente Osram) e il costruttore dichiara una emissione luminosa che arriva a 1200 lumen. L’ottica è chiaramente di ottima qualità perché il fascio è intenso e uniforme con un’apertura adatta sia all’illuminazione da vicino che a media distanza. 1200 lumen sono parecchi, e infatti il pulsante di accensione posto sull’estremità posteriore della torcia consente di selezionare quattro livelli di intensità, scendendo fino ad un livello minimo detto ECO dove l’emissione di soli 5 lumen (va benissimo per muoversi ad esempio a casa di notte) corrisponde a una durata della batteria dichiarata di 143 ore. Alla massima luminosità, invece, il costruttore dichiara una durata di un’ora e mezza. In sintesi, se cercate una torcia “classica” realizzata con materiali di qualità e adatta alle necessità di utilizzo sia in casa che all’aperto, questa Wuben L50 può essere un’ottima scelta.
