Fresh Milled Flour Cookbook at its Best!
This cookbook addresses the baker who is milling their own wheat for flour. Kara has worked wonders with this cookbook! I got it two days ago and I've already used it twice! There are pictures for the recipes as well as QR codes to take you to a video or to tips for each specific recipe!Kara is the moderator for a Facebook group, has a YouTube Channel, and a website - all devoted to fresh milled flour. I've been using her information for more than a year (since I found her video on YouTube!) and haven't had any problems with any of her recipes! She is an excellent teacher and works to help anyone with using fresh milled flour. She has worked so hard to turn "regular" recipes into ones we can use with fresh milled flour. I always know that if its a recipe from Grains In Small Places, it will be good. This cookbook will be used for years in my house and I have another ordered for a Christmas present for my granddaughter who also loves to bake!I have been buying cookbooks that claim to be for fresh milled flour since I got my mill two years ago. This is the first that is completely useful! It is all recipes! And recipes for fresh milled flour - not "whole wheat" flour. There is a difference and some of the cookbooks I've gotten don't seem to know that.Thank you, Kara, for an amazing resource!

Excellent book. Don’t look for another one.
I bought all the books on amazon related to fresh milled flour and yours by far is the best! Simple to follow, has pictures, option to find your YouTube tutorial and best of all, the recepies taste so amazing. Thank you so much for writing this book!

Excellent Cookbook for Fresh Milled Flour
I highly recommend this cookbook for anyone who wants recipes for fresh milled flour. There is a recipe for pretty much everything from Naan bread to graham crackers! There's even a small section for sourdough recipes. I love the writing style, it's like she's talking to you. There are tips and notes and excellent pictures for every recipe. The best part is that each recipe has a QR code that directs you to her YouTube page where you can watch and follow along making the recipe with her. So far, I have made biscuits, naan, and sourdough chocolate chip cookies. They have all turned out great but the sourdough chocolate chip cookies are AMAZING!

#1 FMF cookbook!!
This is my newest, most favorite book on FMF recipes. I like colored photos in my cookbooks and this has a picture of each of the items you’d be baking. I like the formatting and layout of the pages- including the font size!! I also like the QR links to videos.As to the recipes themselves, what made me purchase the book was hunting for a FMF sandwich recipe that was close to store bought without the “odd” ingredients that aren’t typically found in grocery stores. Kara’s Everyday Sandwich Bread was what I had found online- and it’s PERFECT!!! So I was excited to see what other recipes she had to offer…. I’m blown away!Great job Kara!!! I look forward to growing as an FMF baker with your book!!

I LOVE this cookbook!
There are not enough freshly milled flour cookbooks on the market. Things I love about this cookbook are: the larger print and the full color photographs, both regular standard American measurements and metric. bread recipie conversions for larger and smaller pans, simple easy to follow delicious recipes, a chapter devoted to sourdough, well researched, organized, and thorough. The QR codes can be scanned to her her youtube channel. I learned a lot by watching her make a recipe. On her youtube channel she gives more ideas for substitutions like maple syrup if you prefer that over honey or sugar. Just get it, you won’t be sorry.

A wonderful cookbook
The media could not be loaded. this is a wonderful cookbook :-)The recipes and tips inside are easy to understand.Also, I do like that she has listed measurements in grams and cupsThe binding is not the greatest but I believe that is not a big issue.Overall I would recommend this cookbook.I would also highly recommend watching her YouTube channel, she is a wonderful teacher :-)

Great fresh milled book to start with
Great book for fresh milled flour users. Each recipe not only has a picture, but a QR code to scan for an entire video baking lesson. I have made quite a few recipes from the book and they all come out exactly as described. I will note however that the author likes her sweets very sweet and cutting back on some of the sugar by 1/4 or 1/3 did not hurt any of the texture for the recipes I tried. Visit her web page for a sampling of the recipe and the ingredients she uses and then feel confident that the book just complies them all in one place for you to enjoy, make notes to and ear-mark your favorites which I believe you will find many. My rating is supposed to be 5 start but for some reason my iPad would only let me click on 4.
