I never had a chance to watch this series during the 90s or 2000s because it was never repeated on TV. Some people say it was probably because it was stereotypical about foreign people and their sense of humour was 'out of date'. Maybe it wasn't 'politically correct' when this expression became so popular during the early 90s, and after that, we could not say many things that might offend somebody else, and that had become a new culture in our society.I learned English as a foreign student in the early 1990s. I would go to a language school in London and get mixed with people from all over the world, and it was one of the best memories I have of the UK. So I can relate to many things in this series, and I don't find it offensive at all; rather, I find it very funny. In the real language schools during the early 1990s, yes, there were a certain number of 'not-so-nice' comments out of stereotypical views, and nowadays it'll probably be viewed as racism, but that was part of learning the British culture in those days, so I don't mind.I'm glad they've decided to release it over 40 years after it was first shown on TV. Maybe we're in the post-political-incorrectness period now so its sense of humour is funny again.

Mind your language complete collection Dvd had 4 seasons but unfortunately the 4th season was destroyed in a studio fire, the 4th season does not longer exists at all, hence this complete collection only contained 3 seasons. This is why the 4th season is not in the complete collection.
