The description said it work with my Dyson but it did not work.

I have no idea where the original remote for my Dyson PH01 is after moving more times than I care to remember. It hasn't been a huge issue as we normally use the app to control the Dyson, but sometimes it doesn’t connect right away or my phone battery 🪦 on me and I didn't realize it. So, when I got the opportunity, I thought it would be useful to have a replacement remote to stash in the pouch that I keep all of the room's remotes in (all of which also have apps and so they don’t get used much either). Anyway, all of this is to say that this replacement remote works 100%, or in other words, I went through and pressed every single button on the remote and each prompts the correct response from the device. Thr buttons also have a good tactile feel when pressing them and do not feel like they stick or operate any differently than an original Dyson remote does. While it’s not pertinent with regards to its efficacy or even its overall appearance, you may notice than the grey color of this remote may not be an exact match for the Dyson grey color (I think it might have more shimmer in it), but if it’s not sitting on or leaning up against the grey part of the device, the slight difference isn't going to be noticeable. The remote also came with a battery installed, which is a huge plus because I didn't want to have to deal with that and there is also a short booklet with relevant information included. Finally, the remote feels like it's of good quality and I think that as long as you're not mistreating it (Captain Obvious, I know…🤓), I have no reason to believe that it will fail to last for the life of the device. I do think that the weight in hand of this remote may be a little lighter than original Dyson remotes, but since I do not know where the original remote for this device, I can only compare it against other original Dyson remotes that I also own. However, I don't know if all of Dyson’s remotes are the same specifications or if they vary by device in some way. So, I mention this only because some people might consider a comparatively lighter remote to mean that it's not as well made as the original, but regardless of whether that hypothesis holds water, the remote feels well made and I do not believe that this aspect will have an impact on its (reasonable) expected lifespan. Conclusion: If you are looking to purchase a replacement, or just a back up remote for your Dyson product and this remote is listed as being compatible with it, I recommend it without reservation.
