Lonely Planet Coastal California 6 (Travel Guide)

This is the best book on this subject. So much information and cost So reasonable! Great book !

This guide does a great job of covering its area. It was very useful for us on our 2 week trip from SF to LA. Highly recommeded

This book had all the information I needed for planning a trip this fall. Wish it could have been written south to north.

Really useful book for travel to California

Gives you an idea, but takes a lot of research and note-taking to be of any help.One simple thing to improve: Add accurate and complete addresses to places listed!

Wayyyyyy too much emphasis on large cities and not enough focus on smaller cities dotted along the Central/SoCal coast. Ventura County, for example, is a surfer's paradise covering 30 coastal miles with over a dozen prime surfing spots. I personally don't like large cities and the emphasis is on ALREADY OVERCROWDED resources. Meh, for those who like crowds, by all means, enjoy the recommendations of this lonely planet guide. For anyone who is looking for quality destinations without the craziness, look to Ventura, Shell Beach, Avila, & Morro Bay. I think you'll also find those options to be a little less $$$ than Santa Barbara (with fewer snobs!) As a CA resident, those are the places I like to visit because they're not as commercial, there are many great food options, and the communities are friendly and welcoming.

Item was a little more worn that was described and shipping was slow.

This was not a very helpful "guide" book. It was difficult to use and many items did not have complete information like closed days or times.

Good info lots of useful details. Usual high quality Lonely Planet Guide.

Nice book that helps you plan a coastal road trip. There are some nice small places mentioned that you might skip past, and gives a couple of suggested routes you should take for a good balance of the north and south of California.

Great book to plan a trip!

We used this to plan our road trip from San Diego to San Francisco and the book gave really useful information about the best places to stop of and visit and what to expect.
