UPDATE: the impact driver and the drill are great tools. The battery had a hard time fitting on to the charger and I mistakenly thought the charger was broken. The charger makes a loud fan noise and it immediately shuts off when not charging battery. It is a fast charger. I figured it out eventually. The tools when tested on a fully charged battery, works great. Powerful, light but it still sounds grinding. Previous: I got this set after reading the rave reviews however very disappointed. The charger DOA. The battery still had half of charge so I tried out the tool. Impact driver sounds wrong like metal grinding. Performance was fine but it was loud. It could not run the 1 inch spade bit into tree stump without bogged down. I didn’t have a chance to run the drill driver because battery ran out of charge.

There good great price as well if u want something with a lot of tourge and don't want to spend a lot of money go with these and batteries r interchangeable

After more than three decades of me trying to get my daughter interested in being handy with tools, she surprised me by explaining she wanted to be more self-sufficient. So I jumped at the chance to find the lightest-weight drill and impact set, plus a case full of assorted attachments to suit, and went with this as her Christmas gift. They are each a little heavy, but she is able to handle it safely and competently. And it gives me a chance to share some quality time with her, showing the techniques and methods I have accrued over 6 decades becoming an expert generalist to her which she readily understands. When she was a world-ranked paralympic archer I was her bow tuner, and she never wanted to learn the "how-to's" for tuning a recurve bow, and it gave me a way to share time with her as a coach as well, leading to a bronze medal in Beijing in 2008 for Team USA. SO if my 25-year old hammer drill or15-year old electric screw driver die I will gladly switch over to this brand. Funny that I'm hoping they DO DIE so I have the excuse. So yes, I would buy these again and she is delighted with their design and function.

I own a number of Skil tools. This is a very handy kit. It has the chuck with a clutch to keep from over tightening screws. It has 1/4 driver head for quick change bits and more aggressive driving. Then it has the 90 degree head to help get to screws in tight spaces. I've used this feature quite a bit. The best feature, however is the off center head that allows you to access screws other drivers have no chance at. The ones in corners, or up close to a wall. This has quickly become one of my favorite tools. Not so much for powerful drilling, or driving, but for any type of installation where space can be tight. It's compact, lightweight, and the light is very bright. It also has a cool delay feature that keeps the light on before and after you finish drilling. Like I said, it's not the most powerful tool, but it is super versatile.

I had a multi-headed drill years ago from another brand, it wiggled and did not seem sturdy at all. This SKIL is head and shoulders above that one in quality. You can swap to a different head in seconds. I've used 3 of them already. I really like the usb c charging/discharging on the battery. It's a thoughtful addition that I've used to charge up my phone.

The tool itself is really good and does what it was intended to do. The battery life is decent, nothing too crazy since it is a 2ah but it does the job. Of course the runtime depends on what setting you have it on but over all, at full drilling/driver mode it lasts around 1 hour of constant use. The case it came with is good with the precut foam. However, the deal breaker for me is the lack of a quick release chuck bit holder on the offset head. I used the tool to build a shed and quickly got frustrated as the offset head would almost always let go of whatever bit I was using to drill or drive. For me the main reason I got this tool was for the offset but it ended up disappointing me. I ended up going with the Bosch chameleon which does have a bit retaining chuck.

This is a great drill, for the price . Not as strong as the Bosch 18 volt version but more useful than the Bosch . The Bosch 90 degree head being one piece with the chuck . Not as many rotations on the drill head attachments as the Bosch drill but good enough . This is a 3/8th drill chuck on the Skill where the Bosch has a 1/2” chuck. Really nice touch on the storage bag with the insert, way to go Skill .

Great little tools just be carefully when charging if you get the order of operating the charger it blows up

los compre para hacer trabajos de casa y la verdad no me han defraudado en nada compactos no pesados, la de impacto con gran potencia y les dura bastante la bateria, ya les compre mas accesorios como puntas, ayuda que venga con los ganchos para cinto, carga rápida, los recomiendo bastante
