Not sure why it was written.
I didn't give this one star because Amazon says that means I hate it.....I didn't hate it, I just didn't understand why it was written at all.SPOILERS, SPOILERS, SPOILERSSo, let me start off by saying, I really really enjoy Susan Stoker's books.....I anxiously await everyone that comes out and usually burn thru it the same day it comes out. So, needless to say I was super excited for a new book.....and then I was just terribly disappointed. Why?Because NOTHING happens in this book....no one rescues anyone, there's no bad guy, the romance proceeds normally....there's no real suspense. To start with our hero, Coach, doesn't rescue Harley...she's rescued by a stranger. And, she's not rescued from a bad guy, but from something pretty mundane. Harley doesn't rescue Coach...he even says, that they would have lived regardless of her actions, he just may have been more injured than he was. Basically, H/h meet, they go thru a scary experience, they date and fall in love, they go thru a scary experience (that happens like 70% into the story so you know it's going to be resolved quickly and it is) and they live HEA. That's it.....no suspense, no tension. I kept thinking I was missing something..and at the end I really didn't care about either character. The romance itself is fine, but nothing earth shattering.I'll always look for Susan's next book, but I'll keep hoping they're better than this one.

Free falling for love!
This is such a wild way to meet the man of your dreams.Because let me tell you, I don't ever plan on jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. I get the thrill and all-- totally not for me though.I loved how it twisted to be a jump that takes a turn. And in a way, Harley saves Coach first. Then he swoops in and saves the day later in the book. I appreciated the "situation" in this book. It was realistic. Because, it was something that could have happened to just about anyone. Clearly, Coach has to become the main suspect in her disappearance. He was the last person to see her before she vanishes without a trace.Their relationship was really cute. And I loved the quirky habits that Harley has. Plus, she's got a really cool job! Video game programmer? Awesome! My favorite parts about these books are the relationships between all the couples + the rest of the guys on the team. It truly is a family and I love that about these books.

Stupid and a total waste of money
Jeez. Where to start.I didn't think this book was too bad at the beginning. Though Harley was described much along the same lines that Susan Stoker seems to prefer to describe female leads, Harley seemed like a decent enough person. She was just a pathetic mix, as usual. In this case, an overly tall, skinny girl who at 34, had never been with a guy. A major dork on steroids.Coach seemed okay, but I thought the over-the-top descriptions of him getting pissed at bullies was a bit much, especially the scene in the fast food joint with the teenagers. Teenagers, seriously? A man in his mid-thirties bothering to jump their stupid asses about comments he heard them making? Creepy and unnecessary, and it did nothing to endear him to me. I understand his feelings as they relate to his sister, but still. I thought his bullying obsession was a bit much. The romance between him and Harley was okay, but definitely not one of the best stories that I've ever read. Then the thing with Harley "disappearing". So, based on the title, one would assume that something happened to Harley that necessitated her being rescued, am I right? Well, that didn't happen. I have no idea what the heck the title is supposed to be referring to, but there was no "rescuing" of Harley, certainly not by Coach. What happened to her was frankly stupid and a complete letdown. That was the climax of the story? Seriously? And you're telling me that nobody, out of all the people looking for her, found her before they did? Not buying it.By the time Coach had his bullying meltdown and then Harley immediately disappeared, I lost all use for him. He became seriously weak looking and it wasn't appealing. I expect much better from my fictional heroes (especially when they're supposed to be alpha heroes, for heaven's sake). By the time he had his meltdown I was starting to view him as more of an annoying beta boy type. Ick.Spare yourself the annoyance and skip this one.

RESCUING HARLEY IS SUPERB
If you have read any of my previous reviews in this series (or any of Susan's books) then you know that I am a HUGE Susan Stoker fan and Rescuing Harley continues that love and devotion. Rescuing Harley is the third book in the Delta Force Heroes series. This book is about Coach and Harley. It is such a tremendous book. I loved it so much. Harley is now one of my favorite characters that Susan has ever written because she is a self described nerd and is completely and totally okay with herself and how she lives her life. I love that. Her being okay with who she is and never apologizing for it is one of the things that Coach loves most about her. Coach is hot and sexy and they are so perfect together. Harley and Coach first meet when she is going skydiving for the first time. All I will say is that Susan kept me on the edge of my seat with her descriptions of all of the action (I will never be one to skydive as I am afraid of heights and get motion sickness so it was great to see it all happening in my head. I almost felt like I was there). If you love Military Romance then this book is a MUST. Rescuing Harley has great characters, a hot sexy alpha, a strong heroine and a great story. This book can be read as a standalone but I will always recommend that if you are able to do it and have not read Susan Stoker's work before that you read everything that she writes. Rescuing Harley is a must One-click.

Great
Seriously enjoyed this book.Harley is an introverted game designer who to make her latest game more realistic decided to take a sky dive and get first hand experience on what it feels like. She’s paired with coach as her jump master. Coach can’t take his eyes off her and is enjoying being the one to take her on her first jump. unfortunately They have an accident and it’s up to Harley to save them. After all the excitement coach makes it his mission to get to know Harley better. All is going well until Harley just disappears.I love a good Susan Stoker book and this one is no different.I enjoyed the showing of how coach worked hard to gain Harleys trust and how their relationship developed. Much as it was insta love their relationship developed over a couple of months. The only thing I’d say is that I wanted to see coach’s alpha male side. He didn’t get to swoop in and save his woman like the other books and I would love to have seen that side of him.

Loving this Susan Stoker series...
This book was a little bit different from the others, being that the action was at the very beginning and a little at the end of the book and the middle was somewhat tame. Rather than Coach going all "alpha hero to the rescue", its actually Harley who rescues Coach during a skydive and after that they fall for each other and the main part of the book is about them getting to know one another and Harleys siblings and Coach's Delta teammate's. Towards the end of the book there is more intrigue "Susan Stoker" style when Harley goes missing and Coach and the other Delta members band together to find her. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Both Coach and Harley had interesting back stories which just made them all the more suited to each other. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

Good.
No crazy lunatics out for revenge in this story, but a remarkable woman who survives a freak accident or two.The Delta boys and their women come together in another lovely story of camaraderie.Harley is a gaming nerd and Coach is our intelligence expert. The story has wonderful characters, steam and action.

Great
This was a bit different from the rest of the series. I won't go into detail as I wouldn't want to spoil it but the format is very different. In the others the Delta and his woman meet usually in an intense way, they become a couple, bad guys attack and the team save the day. Not so much in this one. The main action happens in the first quarter of the book and the rest is the aftermath. There's a lot of relationship/family stuff which is all really well written, funny and interesting. But if you're looking for action packed, this one is a bit tamer. Not as high octane as the others and I missed that a bit towards the end but Coach and Harley were great characters. I personally didn't feel that Coach got enough of a chance to be a hero. I like it when they get to save the day! But that's just me.A good read but not as thrilling as the others. However, Susan's worst novel would still be 10 times better than most of the military romance out there! She writes a great alpha hero.

Wow. A fantastic read worth getting
Wow, wow, wow. Another fantastic read from the stable of Susan Stoker. I couldn't put it down from the start of the book. Coach is a team mate in Delta Force and Harley is a computer geek who doesn't do well in social situations. This is a story of 2 people coming together from a simple accident whilst sky diving which put Coach's life in danger. He starts to grow to really like Harley after meeting her brother and sister and hearing about his own sister. Harley's disappearance makes coach panic as she can't be found so everyone comes together to help as coach becomes a suspect. I loved the story from the start to the end and the story just flowed all the way through. It was obvious that they were well suited to each other but will there be a HEA? I can't wait for the next book to come out in this series.
