Adventure Designs Secret Storage Highway Pegs in Silver

I just received these today. I paid twice as much for these as the next set down that I was looking at, but I am so happy I did. I haven't even installed them yet but they exude quality in looks, feel and design. The first thing you notice is they are light as a feather (aircraft aluminum?). The machine work is excellent, no rough edges, pure consistent aluminum with fine grooves on tread grip ridges. There is attention to every detail. For example the inside of the U bolt has hash roughing for better grip on the engine guard bar. The end cap for the 'secret' compartment has a rubber washer o-ring to seal moisture and diffuse vibration I assume. The threading on the cap is three dimensional so the feel is smooth and sure. The feel of the motion when flipping the peg position is precision smooth with a spring loaded notch at the up position. The design is simple, elegant and super adaptable for vertical, horizontal (or anything in between) bar mounting. I'm planning a long trip on my 2013 Kawasaki Concours 1400, I haven't even installed them yet but I know these are going to be perfect for my OEM engine guard. I'll update the review when I've tried them out on my 1 hour commute to work as soon as I can; and again when I get back from my trip in July. Adventure Designs even sent me a little extra surprise treasure in my package - a nice touch.

The only highway pegs to fit my R1200gs. I tried 3 other brands with no success. I wish I had just gone with these from the start. Easy to install and secure when mounted. Finally, I can stretch my legs!

These work on the KLM Super Adventure though they must be mounted high up. However, one of the peg's storage cover could not be opened. The compartment is deep and some items put in it may be hard to retrieve without a tool.

Love them... using them on a BMW F800 GS and made a world of difference on very long trips, sturdy well made, tons of grip, fairly easy to install if you are handy with a wrench and fold out of the way when off road. One single issue on the first long ride one of the pressure plates that keeps the peg up on one side somehow rotated and got loose, Kept the peg from going up and down, tried to pry it with pliers to no avail. Finally used some locking pliers and a hammer and got it to work almost as new, maybe just bad luck but I would have returned them if I wasn't 1000mi+ away from home.

A quality product; easy to install, easy to adjust and makes long rides on my GS Adventure much more relaxing.

4000 plus miles and still love them!
