First Class Blade Grinder
Update: It is now March, 2020, and again, I have been using this grinder at least daily. It continues to work flawlessly.Update: It is now end of May, 2019, and I have been using this grinder at least daily since I purchased it in September, 2018. It continues to work flawlessly. Things I like: The pushbutton on/off switch is solid and remains so... good spring action. The safety cutout switch for the lid works fine, never jams. The overall grinder is solidly built, the blades remain very sharp. I continue to be very pleased with this purchase. You probably already know this, and, the best coffee grinders are burr type grinders, but the cheap ones (that is, the burr grinders under $100) are not worth keeping. I've sent one back to Amazon, returned another to the store where I purchased it. Cheap burr grinders (about the price of this grinder) just don't cut it.This is a blade grinder, so it's a bit like a blender with blades in the bottom to chop things up. I was a bit reluctant to buy a blade grinder since the last one I bought was not very good. But, since I couldn't find a cheap burr grinder that works I decided to give this blade grinder a shot. It's great, well worth the money. Here's why. First, it is substantial and well constructed. Metal exterior, tight fitting lid, proper lid lockout mechanism, hefty feeling on/off switch. Overall, I was pleased when it came out of the box... nice looking, pretty heavy, and a cord long enough that you can lift the grinder and pour the contents into your coffee maker without having to unplug it.I have now used this grinder daily for about a week and I am pleased with the way it grinds coffee beans. The grounds come out in a uniform size. This is usually a weakness in blade grinders... you get big chunks mixed in with the little pieces... but this one does a good job of creating a uniform grind. To operate a blade grinder you "pulse" the grinder off and on using the push button switch. It's easy to do with this grinder. Takes 30 seconds to pulse 15 to 20 times to get a coarse to fine drip consistency. With a bit of practice you get repeatable results.I've used the grinder to make 8 cups of coffee (8 heaping tablespoons of beans) and there is plenty of room to do 10, and could probably squeeze in 12 cups, although I've not tried that.

Super impressive grinder.
I'll start by pointing out that I have been a Space Case guy for about 15 years. I love their construction and quality, and feel like if properly maintained, they last forever. That being said, I may have just found it's equal(and in a case or two, it's better) for 1/10th it's price. The Squirreler is an amazing little grinder I picked up after losing my Cali Crusher on my last trip. I loved that grinder too, but it was only a single chamber and had no screen for collection. I found this and after seeing many positive reviews, decided to take the leap and buy what I thought was a "cheap" grinder. I received it 2 days later and found that I had not purchased a "cheap" grinder, merely an inexpensive one! This thing is quality. All the parts fit together solidly, the threads feel nice when twisting together and apart, and most importantly, grinds like a champion. The tool they provide is my new favorite tool, I wish it was made of something a little sturdier because I use it so much I can already see it won't last. I love that this grinder is so lightweight, and also that it can collapse down into just a single chamber grinder if you want. I honestly think I will get one or two more of these just to have on hand in case I lose the first.Fantastic product, you won't be disappointed.

Good quality for French Press Grind
Sleek. I like the quiet sound you get when holding the button to grind. Good weight. Feels like it is well made. I do wish it had clear information or a setting for different grinds. The only information is in the picture on the product information. That's it! I have a French Press. I have to hold the button for 6 seconds. It works. Everything grinds evenly...just wish I could hit a but once without counting in my head..but thats a minor complaint for a very solid grinder.

Worked once - NO return/exchange
This is a beautiful coffee grinder. Unfortunately, it only worked once. My husband and I tried to use it the next morning and I tried multiple outlets, but it won’t work.I attempted to exchange through Amazon online returns and that prompted a Chat/Call from Amazon (not the typical Amazon return/exchange process). After a half hour chat with two Amazon reps Chat, rep advised that this time is not returnable and he needed to contact the manufacturer regarding the warranty. (Yet, I only had the time for 2 1/2 days.) Phone number Amazon has for company didn’t work; hence, Amazon rep said I could email the seller. I said, “No, this is not good customer service.” Finally, the rep agreed to provide credit for this item (in recognition of my years of being Prime customer who purchases frequently through Amazon). The grinder I got was clearly defective. Return/Exchange process through Seller or Manufacturer needs to be improved.I bought a different coffee grinder through Amazon at half the price. (It isn’t as attractive as this one, but I need it to work rather than look pretty on my counter!)
