Weight loss catalyst
This book was such an inspiration to me. It helped me jumpstart my weight loss journey of which I'm still on. It's been 31 weeks and I've lost 50 lbs and still going. This was an excellent book! I highly recommend it to anyone who has tried everything under the sun to try to lose weight and nothing has worked so far. It's because you NEED this book!

WOW. Goes right to the truth of things. Its not what your putting in your mouth, but WHY.There is always an underlying issue when you are over eating. It's mental.He helps you get to the gut issue so to speak.Great book. Great info.

Good advice, Bad Advice, A Lot of Random Craziness--This book has it all.
This book contained some great quotes. "Where are you fat? In your head!" While reading this book you really need to cherry pick the good stuff and discard the bad. Pick what's good for YOU. Almost everything in the book can help you lose weight, but I believe it won't help you KEEP it off. The whole Biggest Loser, Extreme Weight Loss mentality is the basis of the book--not surprising since the author is the producer of these shows. He sites his contestants successes as evidence that his program works, but totally ignores stories of all those that have regained their weight. The author is just as extreme in the book as on his show at times. The 7,000 calorie burn is the best example. Go out and burn 7,000 calories in one day just to be able to say you did it. He suggests doing it for the mental advantage it will give you, not to lose weight. Too extreme, and downright crazy! Why not make a more realistic goal of running a marathon? The author has never been overweight himself either, but comes off as a physical fitness, watch everything you put in your mouth freak, and suggests you do the same--all the while counting every calorie that goes in your body and every calorie you burn exercising--and you should be exercising at least 2 hours a day. Believing that this is what I should be doing the rest of my life has only resulted in my gaining back all the weight I lost yet again. This method is just too extreme. My real life is not a reality show.

Good info that's available elsewhere
Good info that's available elsewhere. My biggest disappointment was that it didn't include recipes. For recommending such a major change in eating I expected it to include some recipes.

This book focuses on mental and motivation rather than actual diet and science of losing weight. They have lots of examples of success and failures
