The media could not be loaded. I wanted white knives. I wanted pretty looking knives. My husband just wanted GOOD, SHARP knives. These meet all requirements. Do not put in the dishwasher. We learned our lesson. Take care of your knives and they will last. So happy with our Christmas present!

At this stage of my life, I prioritize items that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, and this set of knives aligns with both criteria.Initially, I preferred the version with a white base over the gray. However, the white base came with a significantly higher price, which didn’t seem justifiable for a simple color variation. Consequently, I rated the product four stars instead of five, as all color options should ideally be priced equally.Having used the knives once, I found them to perform well for their intended purpose. While I’m not a professional, and likely most buyers aren’t either, the price point seems reasonable for a quality knife set unless one specifically needs specialty knives.One drawback of the set is the wooden handles, which make the knives unsuitable for dishwasher use. Although handwashing is required, it’s a manageable inconvenience.A standout feature is the included shears, which are far superior to the standard shears typically found in similar sets—I absolutely love them. Additionally, the vertical knife block is a unique design feature that I find more visually appealing than the traditional slanted style. However, it can be slightly less practical, as accessing the knives may require moving the block out from beneath overhead cabinets. The wooden handles are comfortable to use and not much of a downgrade over my previous set of knives, which were from the Good Grips Oxo collection.Before settling on this set, I tried a less expensive alternative, but I ended up returning it due to its inferior quality and appearance. This set strikes an excellent balance between price and quality, offering a more satisfying and aesthetically pleasing experience overall.

If you buy them make sure you oil the handles regularly and hand wash!!!!!! Otherwise they're a decent enough set.

We bought these for our son and his new wife as a Christmas gift. When we went over to their house after 6 months they were still really nice and sharp. I'm especially impressed with the sharpening rod...that's a great one! All in all, nicely built and attractive to look at and use.

Do not buy this knife set. It is not dishwasher safe. I finally moved into my new place, used 3 knives, washed them and they are ruined.
