This is a great stitch kit
The variety of stitches is nice to have and practice with. The faux skin practice block is an excellent method of practicing stitch work. Each piece of equipment is a nice quality and it definitely helps to enhance my stitching skill.

Good for the price
Obviously for the price you are not getting hospital grade instruments. But if you are just looking to practice and create muscle memory to be comfortable with stitching, this will do. The needle holders clamp tightly on the needle, the forceps bite enough to hold the "tissue", and the scissors cut the suture without issue. So far I have not had any issue with the artificial skin tearing. Supposedly there is a mesh in the superficial layer to help prevent tearing, but time will tell with repeated use. The silicone does stick to the table well. However, that same stickiness attracts hair and lint. Good thing that it cleans up easily. I have seen other kits that have educational information showing different stitches and uses for each stitch, but this kit does not have any educational material included. I'll assume a health care professional will be getting hands on training elsewhere. It's probably a good thing it doesn't come with lidocaine or else people would watch a suturing segment on YouTube and think they could do stitches on their family at home!

Great kit!
This is such a nice kit for suture practice! This has everything you need, including the needle holders and even scalpel blades. Overall the quality is very nice. Great for those who want to practice on sutures. There are plenty of videos online to guide you and help build confidence. Definitely worth the price- highly recommend!

Excellent practice kit
This has everything you need to practice suturing different types of incisions and cuts. It has the instruments and different types of suture threads in addition to the silicone skin with the different layers of skin and different types of cuts/incisions. It is an excellent way to practice suturing and improve technique and confidence!

Great suture practice kit! Lacks training information, though.
I ordered this suture practice kit to learn and get some “hands on” suture training in case of an emergency. This kit comes with everything I need to practice stitching up different kinds of wounds. The one thing this kit REALLY needs is information on how to sew with different kinds of stitches, and some educational material on sutures, wounds and actual training. I had to look it up online, as well as watch some videos before I started practicing which is what I would have liked this kit to include. This kit is advertised as suture practice so you’d think it would include that training material! 1 star off for that. The tools/instruments that come with it are good quality (I’m not in the medical field so can’t attest to how good the instruments are), and I like that this kit has everything you need (minus the educational instruction).

Great practice kit
I am not a medical professional, just someone who is curious about everything and learning new skills. That said this appears to be a pretty complete practice kit to learn suturing skill and maintaining or working on fine motor skills and focus. It met my expectations.

Really nice training kit for medical learners
I teach medical professionals and was excited to try this out to see if it would be a good kit for medical learners. All the supplies are for training purpose is only, but the instruments feel of good enough quality to mimic instruments actually used on patients. It comes with suture, needle drivers, curved hemostat, snips, a scalpel, and blades. The mat has incisions of various size and shapes, and the depth of the incisions are such that you could practice both superficial and buried sutures. Would highly recommend.

An OK training set to learn how and to practice suturing.
This is a decent set of instruments, sutures, and practice block for learning how to suture. They are not high quality, but they are serviceable. None of the instruments had defects. The practice block would be more helpful if there were fewer grooves and so more space between the grooves--the practice wounds--because as they are now your stitches have to be fairly small, and that is a more advanced skill. Finally, the needle driver is not a Hegar driver because it doesn't have an integrated cutting scissor. As long as you don't try to learn the names of these instruments and just practice with them, you'll be fine. I recommend this practice set.
