Does a decent job with Meta Quest 3
TL;DR: Does the job for what it’s intended, and it is much more reasonably priced than the “official” cable from Meta. The PD works well with the power supply that came with the headset, which is nice for longer sessions.A bit more detail:I ordered this at the same time that I ordered a Quest 3, since I wasn’t sure about how I was going to use the headset for PCVR.I have an aging PCIe4.0 Gigabyte Mobo, in a case with USB-A 3.2 ports. This cable worked perfectly using the headset with Meta Quest Link. That said, my main PCVR workflows are with SteamVR. Through trial and testing, I found that the best experience with SteamVR is to use the SteamVR Link app on the headset. It connects to my PC via WIFI and works very well. There is no need to be tethered to the PC and it offers a bit more freedom while playing.Summary:If you need a USB-A to USB-C cable for your VR setup, this cable is a decent solution. The PD option to keep devices like the Quest 3 charged while playing is a huge plus for longer gaming sessions. That said: if you’re a Quest 3 user and you have a good home network topology and WIFI setup, you might just want to use the Meta Air Link, or Steam VR Link offering instead. Cutting the tether to the PC is really nice, and there are other battery pack options to keep your headset charged while playing.Even though I found I don’t use this cable when using my headset with PCVR, I’m glad I have it just in case I ever find I might need to go back to tethering.

Very Good So Far
So far it has worked perfectly and it keeps the headset at max charge. The cable is nice and long and doesn't fall out of the headset.

It’s great. Better than what Meta’s offering.
This cable’s quick and allows you to keep your headset charged. There’s no visible bit compression and the cable itself is pretty thick, so it’s gonna be fine. Only thing is it’s still capable of kinking. The end connectors are secured with some good amount of plastic, so even with the weight of the cable itself, it should be fine.Main takeaway is it isn’t fiber optic, which is why the official Meta one is so expensive, but this one is still plenty enough for a crisp and clear VR experience at the Quest 3’s native 4K resolution at high refresh rates.

Purchased - Nov 2024. Now (Jan 2025) Bandwidth was less than 370 Mbps. Replacement ordered.
Update of my review from one to five stars. The Company was very responsive to my initial review. They wanted to make it right. I received a full refund in less than two weeks. I intend to order a replacement, ordering this exact same item because I believe this product is well designed and well made. Since electronics are never 100 % all the time, I believe this problem was somewhat unique.Keeping the battery charged on my Quest 3 headset while competing in glider races in Condor 3 is of critical importance and this product resolves that issue. I have upgraded my review from one start to five stars.Original one star review: Purchased in Nov 2024. Worked ok for about 60 days, but now (Jan 2025) the Bandwidth, as reported by the Meta Quest Link App, is less than 370 Mbps. Video in headset has become erratic. I am searching for a more reliable cable.

Great and perfect for what I need. But keep in mind.
This cable has a few flaws. One, you need a little more power then the original charger provided with the quest if you want it to stay charged. I just grabbed my steam deck charger and it was perfectly fine but Just keep that in mind. Also, another thing, regardless of what charger you use, Original quest charger, Apple 30w Fast charger, steam deck charger, or even an anker 65w GaN charger. It will randomly warn you that the quest charge port is wet and freak out. So it's definitely the cable. And I saw another review mention this. So it's not a one off issue. But it doesn't seem to be doing any long term damage. So I say it's fine. I thought I'd let you know. Other than that. The cable solved the biggest problem I've had. A play session that was limited to battery length. It's also much cheaper then just the quest link cable, so worth it for that. And it charges as fast as it would be when plugged into the wall. Oh, mine was missing a strap. So I got a twist tie to hold it on. That is definitely required because you can definitely break it if you step on the cable without something to keep it from snapping. (Not because of anything related to quality. But because my foot with the weight of a human body will demolish the charge port if it gets yanked.)

Worked great for 3 days then it died. I've tried other cables and they work perfectly without issues. Unfortunately those other cables are my keyboard USB c that is about a foot or two long so I can't use it to play. Now I'm stuck waiting to Amazon to get my return and another two to three days for them to ship me a new one. I'll update if the new one is good but if now I'm leaving this the way it is. Also absolutely no customer support. No way of getting a hold of anyone. Just Amazon and we all know how they handle things. Truly a horrible experience so far.*Update*So they sent me a used cable. I have taken photos and added them to the review. Now I'm not that pressed if the cable works but you can clearly see that this is used. If the cable works I will update to 3 stars, I start lost for original breakage and lack of support then another for sending me a used cable. If the cable lacks and is unusable then it will remain the same*Another Update*So syntech reached out to me and informed me that Amazon handles the return and shipping so they (Amazon) deemed the used cable they sent me good enough to re-sell. Which I think is horrible, when I bought this product I bought it as listed...NEW, not almost new. Syntech also sent me another cable which is holding up so far without any issues. Sad that the only way to get support is to leave a negative review but I was helped and so far problem was solved. I will change my rating from 1 star to 3 stars souly because not only was I sent a used defective cable (a cable that was listed as new not used) but after I returned it I was sent another used defective cable, only to find no support unless I left a negative review. So far problem is solved but this was not a pleasant experience. I will update again if other issues develop.
