We made it yesterday with our pressure cooker and pinto beans. The instructions are not completely clear, so I soaked the grains for 10 minutes, then added them to 1lb of dried pinto beans and cooked them on full pressure for about 19 minutes, then allowed natural cooldown. I seasoned them as usual. The result is that I have my beans, with the added goodness and some very much desired texture and thickness. I would love to find this product on my grocer's shelves. One improvement in the instructions would be to clarify the cooking method. If you soak the grains for 10 minutes, do you also add water to the pressure cooker? I've never made anything without water and a bit of oil for rice products. So I would assume that is the best method, or if combining with other grains/rice, just follow those instructions. Review: Too “Ancient” Ancient Grains. - Be careful to verify the expiration date of your item. I just received this today (3/16/25). I noticed the expiration date looks like 7/22/24. I received a full refund and you should just make sure the food products you’re receiving are not old. These are ancient grains, but they shouldn’t be that ancient.

Very clean mixed grain for rice
Amazing flavor and cooks up nicely after a quick soak. I add this to my Korean medium grain or Japanese short grain rice. Price is a bit high though. Will definitely repurchase if the price comes down. Very clean, no bugs and not dusty like a lot of other mixed grains. I really hope the seller lowers the price some. Delicious.

Tasty! Just some minor adjustments to preparation was needed.
Okay I ended up liking this far more than expected! It has a good flavor, and is much easier to cook. I did end up needing to soak this for a bit longer than the 15 minutes they they suggest, and 25-30 minutes tended to be the hot spot to get them softened enough. Then all I needed to do is toss this in my rice cooker and it was done. Add in some butter and salt, and this is a nice and safe meal/side dish. Wish this came in a bigger bag, it's quite good!

Delicious multi grain rice
I added two cups of white rice to the multigrain rice mixture because it is easier to digest. I used rice cooker and the rice came out delicious. I wish they have a bigger size at a better price.

Very delicious!
I am a fancy rice fan. I added butter to this and cooked it in my instapot. I added the exact amount of rice to the exact amount of water and put it in the instapot for 12 minutes. It came out very delicious and tender. This is an extremely small bag of rice but it does fill you up fast.

It deserves winning the taste award
This rice is so good and it deserves the taste award. I soaked it for 15 minutes and then combined it with some white rice and cooked it on the stove top. The flavors were a perfect balance to my chicken tomato stew. This rice flavor profile makes it so versatile that it can pair with any type of meal – Asian, Italian, etc. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.
