Sensors worked great.

Bought but didnt fix What did was a simple reversal of transmitor to opposite side of garage door. It works shade would need adjustments with seasonal light . Do the reversal took all of 10 mins problems solved

I had an hour each day where the sun hot the sensors at the right (wrong) angle and I always had to get out and stand in front of the door to cast a shadow on the sensor so it would close. This total solves this problem and was super simple to install.

Got these to replace my ugly, corroded, bent sensor holders for which I recently had to replace the sensors. Might as well make the complete system look clean and new! These fit just like the originals, but have the added benefit of having sun sensors. I don't have an issue with the sun on this garage, but have in other houses where the sun impedes the functioning of the sensors, and the resolve was toilet paper rolls. These have essentially a short square metal tube which prevents the sun from directly hitting the sensors, theoretically resolving that issue. Again, I don't currently have that issue, so I was unable to test. Other than that, these sensor brackets work as the originals, so you get the functionality you need plus the sun shield.

Well made and solid. Just make sure to double check your garage door sensor model number. I didn’t and when I received this item I discovered that my sensors are just a little bit too big 🤯 totally my fault. Otherwise, these brackets would be perfect!

At certain times of the year and time of day, I had an issue with the position of the sun affecting the operation of my opener (door would not close because the sun's rays interferred with the safety sensor beam). I could have swapped the location of the two sensors but I did not want to cut and splice the wires.This sun shade was a quick and easy solution that took all of 5 minutes to accomplish. Make sure you measure each bracket so they are installed at the exact same height from the floor to minimize any adjustments you may need to make. In my case, I simply swapped out the brackets and mounted the bottom edge at 6" off the floor - worked perfectly without any adjustments needed.For the record, my door opener is a Chamberlain MyQ model B1381 1.25 HP Smart Wi-Fi Belt Drive Garage Door Opener.Well made product, reasonably priced and a perfect replacement for my installation. The only negative is that it shipped without and instructions but for the savvy DIYer, none are needed. This product gets my seal of approval and a 5-star rating.
