Amazing Audio Device for kids!
Love this thing!I did a ton of research between this and a Tonie box before purchase. For cost, content, features, and growth adaptability i went with Yoto obvsiously.Got it for my then 4yr old as an Xmas gift back in 2024 because we i had a 2nd kid in April of that same year, so bedtime stories were no longer consistent for her. I wanted something for her that was simple to operate and would keep the storytelling alive while i was unavailable. She has loved it from the moment i gave it to her!I bought a few card packs, Daniel Tiger, Paw Patrol, and Sleepy Stories. She listens to the cards all the time and we just discovered the radio (AWESOME that there are no ads and the variety of music is AMAZING).We have used it on 2hr/10hr road trips with head phones and just around the house while she is playing independently. Even on 30-40 min car rides it's been fantastic. Love the portability of it.I mentioned it to my sistes-in-law, so my nephew(3yr old) got one for Xmas too. He loves the radio.Honestly, I don't have anything negative for this product besides maybe the ease of use with the cards for kids under 3.

A Game-Changer for Screen-Free Playtime
We bought the Yoto Mini for our daughter’s 5th birthday, and it’s been amazing! She calls it her “story box” and takes it everywhere — in the car, to grandma’s, even on camping trips. It’s sturdy, easy for her to use by herself, and the stories + music cards keep her entertained for hours. As parents, we love that it’s totally screen-free. No ads, no distractions — just good old storytelling. The sound quality is great, and battery life lasts longer than expected. Also appreciate the headphone jack for quiet time.Highly recommend this for any parent wanting educational fun without screen time battles!

Perfect and Fun for Kids
We heard about the Yoto from a friend of ours and I loved the idea of it so much that I decided to give it a try for my 9 and 6 year olds. My gosh. They loved it so much that I ended up purchasing a second one the next day while it was still on sale. They love getting to pick out a story and sit in their beds to listen to their cards. I like the variety of stories you can purchase and that, if you wanted to, you can "Make Your Own" cards by downloading an audio book into one (has to be an MP3 format though). The only issue we had with setting our first one up was that it wouldn't connect to our WiFi via our phones. We think it was having problems because we use Android phones. We got around this by creating an account on a phone then logging into the Yoto app using said account on one of our iPads and completing the set-up that way. Once the set-up was complete and the Yoto was connected, I had no issues with using the app from my phone. When we received the second Yoto, we just used the same process and had no problems. The Yoto Mini itself is easy to use for my kids and if they have any problems starting a story or skipping to another chapter, it's easy enough for me to open up the apps and control their Yoto that way. I do recommend getting a protective cover for it though so it doesn't get damaged if accidentally dropped.

Keep kids entertained and off screens
My favorite thing I ever bought for our kids. Worth every penny. We own 2 Yoto Mini’s and 1 Yoto Player and absolutely love them ! My older kids prefer the Mini’s because they’re easier to carry around and our youngest likes the Player because of the bigger “screen” and also it’s easier for her to use it . It’s easy to use even for younger kids. Their app is great and we really like the make your own cards as you can record yourself or grandparents or whoever or you can just buy audiobooks and add them to the MYO card . Also yoto has a great variety of cards for all ages . Their subscription is also a cool option. This is such a nice device to keep kids off screens . Everywhere we go we get asked about it because parents are looking for ways to get their kids to off screens and offer quality entertainment. And this is it .

Perfect for all children in our modern world. Great to reduce TV time
Ok, so I just have to say, this is probably one of the greatest things we have ever gotten as parents to a 2 year old. I tell my husband, if we ever have another baby, I'll only ask people for more cloth diapers, and one more yoto mini. Lol Seriously. I wanted to initially reduce TV time, which this does significantly. You don't need to be super crazy tech savvy. But some tips, it is hard for me to upload audio through the app, so either on my phone or tablet I need to use the web browser to upload audio to the playlists. The audio just takes forever or crashes or stops uploading often through the app itself. Getting audio content is easy. The only yoto cards you need are the Make Your Own cards. Those will grow with your child forever as you can change the content whenever you want instead of buying specific cards you can't write over. I also print stickers of the songs or story covers, cut and paste to the MYO cards so my toddler can easily identify them and choose what she wants to listen to. At first I thought the yoto mini player would be too hard for her to understand and use, but it literally took her 2 days and she was listening to whatever she wanted, learning to raise and lower the volume etc. Kids are so smart. You can download audio from books, from YouTube, from all kinds of websites like the Internet Archive, and it's just never ending you have so many options. Our daughter is bilingual, so even if it is a painstaking process, I put in order her songs and audios to have the same episode in Spanish, followed by English sharing the same custom icon, all throughout her entire custom made playlists. It can take a while to make them exactly how you like, but it is so worth seeing how happy and bright they get. She can look for the icon on the little screen to find a certain song or story she wants, and she knows the first one is always Spanish and second is English. My husband is also amazed at the Yoto and how versatile they are. She even has Bible stories, biblical scriptures, a card where I read books in both languages, Bluey songs and episodes, Super Simple in eng/spa, etc. We're just so pleased. Thanks Yoto! She takes it everywhere: to the store, in the car, on walks, everywhere. I can see her as a teenager one day with her custom content changing with her as she grows.
