Fits like a glove, but hard to open and plastic seems brittle...
As the resident videographer for my daughter's softball teams, I've struggled with keeping my Mevo camera cool during hot California summer games. I resorted to using a white face cloth hung over it, but this case is way, way nicer.First the positives - its fits like an absolute glove. The tripod port is in exactly the right place, and when in position, the lens is precisely in the opening at the front. There are a couple of slots in the bottom, and then a large gap where cables to chargers and microphones can come out. My charging cable had the reinforced end which makes it a little long, so it pushes right up against the back of the case and makes an awkward bend, but other than that its OK.OK so negatives.First its *really* hard to open the clamshell design. I was sure I was going to break it when I finally muscled it open. I guess on the upside it won't open on its own!Second, its obviously a 3D printed product; generally that type of plastic is brittle. And my camera, and many others has taken several foul balls right into the fence. I'm a little worried about how this brittle plastic will survive its first contact with a foul ball, and I suspect it may not end well. We shall see.Third, it comes with a USB fan that you can optionally use to evacuate hot air from the shell. That's very cool (ha!). But there are *zero* instructions about how to install it - after some trial and error I think I finally figured it out, but I still can't tell if the fan is supposed to be inboard to the case, or sticking out the bottom. There are two little cut outs to let the wires out as the fan sits exactly in the same opening through which the charging cable for the camera passes. And the USB cable is attached to the fan by two tiny little wires - one good tug and those will fall off (like if you battery pack gets hit by a foul ball and falls off the fence - just sayin'). It also warns that the high pitched whine of the fan will interfere with the camera's internal mics, so make sure you have an external mike if you use it.So all in all a more elegant solution than my old white face cloth. If its durable then well worth it, even if I choose to not use the fan.

Nice protective cover
We have a mevo start and use it for streaming and recording baseball/football games for my son. This is a nice cover that helps keep it cool, and protects it from the sun as well as the rain. The added fan is neat and works well. We have a seperate microphone and never heard it running through the stream or recording. I'm sure you could if you didn't use a seperate one.If you use your mevo out in the sun and in the texas heat then I would suggest using this. The mevos run hot especially if running all day. We ran this off a usb battery pack that we also run the mevo off of. It doesn't use hardly any power so no issues both it using up the battery.
