Spigen Slim Armor Pro Designed for Pixel 9 Pro Fold Case (2024) [Hinge Protection] - Black

I'm going to guess the bad reviews are people who haven't tried other fold cases previously. I've owned quite a few now and I wish I did not listen to the reviews and bought this one sooner. I would have saved me about $250 in cases. All of these cases for this phone unless they have a built-in screen protector or flimsy and even those suck because you can't easily remove the screen protector once it breaks.If you follow the directions and apply this correctly, make sure to hold down all of the edges so that adhesive fully sticks, you should be completely fine. This thing feels more solid than any case I've had. It's really not that thick in your hands still feels like the width of an iPhone with a case on.Don't listen to the haters just buy the damn case and protect your phone mine falls on the hinge too much. I'm on my second copy of the phone.

Friend purchased this when pixel 9 pro fold released and the sizing was as off so I opted to buy the official phone case from Google even though it lacked a spine cover. I saw reviews that Spigen had done a recall and fixed the molding and thought I would try it out in 2025. The back of the phone clips in and fits well however the front has no way to stick to the phone other then their adhesive strips. There is no satisfying click sound that helps the front case stay on and it's all relying on the adhesive tape which over time I doubt will stay on. They do provide an additional set of adhesive tape but overall I think the front case design needs more work and would not recommend for a phone case especially for the costs.

I wanted a case that protected the spine of my pixel fold. This one just didn't fit quite right and cracked of pretty quickly. Got a Poetic. The Poetic is a beast, but it fits better and I feel it protects better.

I have purchased 6 different cases for my Pixel Pro 9 Fold. The lightest cases didn't protect the hinge which I found out is crucial. My daughter dropped my phone from a counter top while reaching for something and the phone fell on the hinge. That destroyed the inside screen. I have since been looking for a case that protects the hinge. The problem has been the weight with every case I have tried. The Spigen adds weight but not as much as all the other cases I have tried. The other very important feature is that the Spigen case doesn't come with a screen protector built into the from part of the case. Every case I have bought has not only been super heavy, but comes with a cheap built in screen protector that makes the screen look crappy. The Spigen screen has allowed me to use a high quality glass screen protector (purchased separately) for the front screen. I highly recommend this case.

Worked well for about 6 months. but the glue has already weakened, and parts of the case have started peeling off on the bottom and along the hinge. Very disappointed in the long term strength of the case, especially given the insane price of both the phone and the case.

Quick update:I came back to the product page to find dimensions. The only issue I've had with the size and bulk of the phone is that my current magnetic phone holder is not big enough for the case so the phone wants to slip out while driving. I think I've found a suitable replacement. But while here I read some reviews saying that the front cover pops off. I so far have not had that issue. I made sure to clean the phone with the alcohol pad and dry it thoroughly. I had one small issue getting the cover off of one piece of the included double sided tape but that is. I also added regular screen protector before putting the front on because it does not have a built in screen protector for the front screen. So far it feels like it's on really good! Spigen includes extra pieces of double sided tape if needed. Hopefully that will be enough for people to fix the front piece without it falling off. Otherwise it's pretty useless. Unfortunately their just aren't many options for covers so far.I also purchased this one while waiting for the Spigen. It was great and had a built in screen protector for the front screen. I've already seen people post about damaging the hinge in drops without a cover and I'm just not willing to risk that. It is a gorgeous phone without the case but also heavy and awkward, making it prone to drops. This case is worth every penny if protects the phone for a few years. I added a glass screen protector to the front screen as this cover doesn't include that. I ordered a cheaper option to cover me for the past week and it came with a front cover with a built in screen protector. It was so much bulkier than this one from Spigen. If you want to protect the phone, including the hinge, I'm now sure anyone can do better than this.

The case is thick but will keep your phone safe! This case looks amazing and the instructions are easy to follow! Just make sure you never take off the case because its glued on by the strips! if you switch your case a lot this case is not for you! But if you're a one and done case kind of person I'd highly recommend this one even if the price is high!

Phone case did not protect against a 3 foot drop from a shelf on the protected edge. This led to the inner screen delaminating and paying for a replacement. Considering the case costed over half the price it took to replace the phone under insurance, it's not nearly worth it. It also didn't have much grip, user never dropped it though. User found the case to be too bulky but would've anticipated more shock absorbancy but this was not the case.
