This is an excellent primer for when SHTF. Written by a former Navy Seal, covers food storage, how to survive without power, or hide if you have power. Home protection and safety, what to do if martial law is declared, etc. etc. Not wackjob prepper stuff but real, valuable experience explained in a straight forward manner.

Frankly, I had my doubts how a Navy Seal could write a book on preparedness. Warriors are not generally preppers. But I was pleasantly surprised. This is a pretty good book on the topic. There are some things that might not work very well where I live, but on the whole, this book contains great ideas. It is well organized and thoughtfully presented. I have read a number of bug-in, bug-out, and survivalist / prepper style books. Most books on this topic are honestly too sensationalistic and prey upon the reader’s fears rather than supplying realistic and useful info. Not this one. Just solid info, tips and grounded facts.

While pricey it has good core survival information and planning that is applicable in practice not theory. A little on the conspiracy side but it is a prepping book. Food schedule is excellent. All in all a great resource

Excellent survival manual! Very fun and interesting ideas that are easily obtainable! I highly recommended this book to everyone because of the world we now live in!

Compared to other books on this subject that are out there - this one is a breath of fresh air. Easy to read, great use of color, graphics and pictures. Interesting layout, visually pleasing. Information is great & categorized into easy reading bits. I’m keeping this one! Well worth the price.

WOW,this guy knows his stuff, this book should be on everyones book shelf. He brings up alot of issues on being prepared, but also basic things you should just be aware of and have on hand in case of and emergency. Also stocking your panty so your not constantly running to the store, stocking up on staples, flour, sugar, ect. He gets into the what, when, where and why and how to do it. It was a very informative book, i learned alot.

I got this within a week a couple weeks ago, very fast compared to other items I'm trying to get in. The information is great and I will looking for a small house to get someday and practice!

Book contents are good. It gets 3 stars because a book that costs $100 should be a a full 8.5x11 book and not a small “pocket” version. I was tempted to return it because of the smaller size of the book
