This is for. Christmas gift but I only received the small part… not sure this will function as a back up camera

This replacement back up camera works great on our 2011 Ford edge. It was fairly easy to install and it fit perfectly. It seems to have a wider viewing area then our original camera had. It gives me a clear picture during daytime, nighttime and during the rain. I will have wait for a few months to see how it works in a snow storm. My original camera quit working a while ago and after finding out how much it would cost at a dealership this is really a great deal for the cost.

The unit fitment was perfectThe camera functioned as advertised, but I find the angle of view to be too wide.The wide angle lens gives it a "fish-eye" effect which makes it difficult to judge distances when backing.The warning bars sort of work but not nearly as well as the oem camera software.It fits and works as advertised but not my cup of tea.

I had high hopes and low expectations for this backup camera replacement. We have a 2013 Ford Edge. Ours hasn’t worked for a few years and we certainly aren’t mechanics. We don’t even change our oil ourselves.I got this thinking “what the heck. We can try.” And by we, I mean my husband.He looked up a video on YouTube, followed those directions and got this installed no problem!It works great and even has an added feature that our original backup camera didn’t. It’s a little less clear than our original, but not so much that it’s super noticeable. I’m so happy to finally have a camera again!
