I already had a thin mediocar optical cable, thought this would improve the quality. But no. Sound output is same. Though must say, build quality is very good. Another thing is Amazon provided return period very short, having troble fitting becoz of short length but in the meantime returns period was over eithin 7 days. Though of exchange to longer lenth valr
