Eisenlink 👍🏻
I really like these barbells and dumbbells by Eisenlink. Changing the weights are simple and I like that they are really durable. The barbell actually measures 39 1/4” in length without any weights. I wanted a narrow barbell because of shoulder surgery, keeping the weights inward is easier on my shoulders. I do have an adjustable squat rack that it works fine with.

Questionable quality and value
(UPDATE 2/18/25: Eisenlink reached out to me to discuss my issues and make things right. I have only had positive experiences with their customer service, so I can factor that into my score a bit.)FUNCTION: 2/5I tested every 5 lb. plate that came with my Eisenlink adjustable dumbbells on this barbell. Nearly half of them did not fit into the screw slots on either end of the barbell. I then tested each plate on my dumbbells to make sure the plates weren't the issue. They weren't. The barbell was simply not manufactured with precision.Additionally, since this bar uses the Eisenlink weight system instead of the usual barbell sleeves, the ends do not spin, making some lifts uncomfortable.VALUE: 3/5Please note the size of the screws that come with this barbell, as seen in my first picture. An upgrade to the weight capacity meant a lengthening of the screws, which means they are no longer suitable for the Eisenlink adjustable dumbbells. This was very disappointing for me, as I purchased this item partly for the screws, the long versions of which are $49 for a pair. This item replaces a typical fixed barbell set (and beyond), as long as you buy enough of the weight plates for it. In that sense, it is a good value. However, fixed barbell sets have questionable value in the first place because, like this bar, they are generally too short to be rackable. When the weight gets heavy, this means you may struggle to even get the bar into position (or off of you), whereas a normal barbell on a rack would be precisely where you need it. There's a reason most fixed barbell sets only go up to 110 lb., so the advertised 264 lb. capacity here is not as useful as it might first seem. It's simultaneously too low a capacity for heavy compound exercises that don't require a rack, like deadlifts, and excessively high for isolation movements for most people. If you don't already have Eisenlink weight plates from their adjustable dumbbell sets, you will need to spend $89 per 30 lb., which is not cheap. You can get a normal short bar with a higher weight capacity (or even a full barbell) for less, then spend less on plates, which you can also use on other equipment. (Eisenlink plates are intended only for Eisenlink products.) In that sense, the value isn't here.As I already have a rack, barbell, and plates, I didn't need this bar for compound lifts. I just wanted a shorter bar that would take up less space when doing curls, skullcrushers, etc. For that purpose, it was fine, but if I had known that the screws could only be used for the barbell, I would have just gotten a cheaper option.ADJUSTABILITY: 2/5Eisenlink's weight system is OK. It's appropriate for adjustable dumbbells (and kettlebells), as you can easily unscrew both ends at the same time and you're generally not unscrewing too far or changing large amounts of weight. It also solves some of the problems with the old (but still common) spinlock style, like having to fully remove and replace the spinlock for every adjustment and having to work around the threads that stick out from each end.But Olympic barbells don't have these problems. They're pretty quick to adjust in most cases, and frequently quicker to adjust than the Eisenlink bar. If you ever need to fully screw or unscrew the Eisenlink bar, it is an endeavor all its own. I just don't think the Eisenlink system serves any purpose here.CONDITION: 4/5There was a large chip of the paint on each end of the barbell, fully exposing the metal underneath. (See my included pictures.) As there were no chips in the box, this must have happened before transit. Obviously, it did not affect the function of the barbell, but it is still not what you want to see on a new item. Everything else was fine.CONCLUSION: 2.5/5Manufacturing issues aside, I don't think it's a great use of money. It might make sense if you already and only have Eisenlink weight plates, but even then, you would be better off investing in a normal bar and plates for the versatility across brands and equipment. With that said, I do recommend Eisenlink's adjustable dumbbells and kettlebell. This particular product is just a miss for me.

Eisenlink at it again!!
Comfortable bar with just enough knurling in the right spots. My hands grip well and bar seems balanced. If i planned on loading to its max, 264lbs, the knurling might be not rough enough. By the time I'm curling 200lbs, I will have bought other equipment for sure.Keep knocking it out Eisenlink, I'd like to test out a barbell stand if you release one, to compliment my dumbells.

Exactly what you expect
Built well just like the original dumbbells I bought. Adds some versatility to the weight plates I already have. The screws come out and can be put into a eisenlink dumbbell to increase the weight capacity for a single dumbbell which is nice. Too short to be rack-able in a standard rack so I will be sticking to dumbbells for things like bench press for safety. Super useful for things like dead lift and rows outside of my rack where i don't want to maneuver a long barbell. 10/10 recommend if you already have the dumbbell and plate set from eisenlink.
