really like this being backlit.. sony remotes seems to have way more buttons than i'm used to so having it for my new tv (qd-oled bravia 8 ii) is really nice. only issue was it took a while (11 days) to get it from seller..

Worked perfectly right out of the box for my Bravia 8 2024 55inch - wanted the upgraded with the backlit feature. No problems at all.

The portal on my remote control for my Sony Google smart tv was damaged so I called Sony for a replacement and after many attempts I finally got a a real live person on the line who gave me a number for technician who would send me a new remote only to be told they don’t carry that remote so I got on the internet and start searching for the remote control I needed. Many various businesses had a remote control similar but i really didn’t want to go through that process again so I saw Amazon had the exact same remote control so ordered it and received it the next day. I held it in front of my tv, pulled the battery red tab and it immediately connected to my TV. I didn’t have to do anything What a welcomed surprise. As always Amazon to the rescue! The remote was a little more expensive than I thought it would be but again I wanted the extra same Sony remote and I’m extremely happy with my purchase and the fast delivery.

I bought two of these remotes to use with my Bravia 8 TVs. I wanted something backlit. The remote works the same as the one supplied with the Bravia TVs. As a matter of fact, if you don't try to pair both the new remote and old one at the same time, you can use both. That is what I do. I have the remote near the TV and the older one in the Kitchen. I love the backlighting. I just wish the remote included a charge cable (OK, even phones don't include a charger anymore.) and charging instructions. Also, finding a complete manual is a ticket to frustration. BTW, who warranty's this? Sony?

The remote lit up every time I picked it up... for the first 10 times. I've only had it a couple of weeks and it only lights up about 25% of the time. The batteries are brand new, so it's just an unreliable Made In China copy of Sony's real remote.

Perfect! I paid $2000 for the TV that came with a cheap basic remote. This lighted remote should come with all Sony premium TV's. Sony should be embarrassed. This lighted remote is everything I could ask for.

Would have given 5 stars if it came with a charging cord (USB-C) Functionally it is excellent, back lighting is adequate. Not having to replace batteries is great. Keep your original remote for use when you are charging this one, you can pair multiple remotes at the same time

Didn’t even last 6 months. It stopped charging and now it is completely dead. Definitely not worth $63 dollars and I wish I had that money back right now.
