Perfect don’t regret my choice

I was able to get them installed and tested and they work perfectly after calibrating them on the free site. The main issue was desoldering the existing sticks. I would recommend a heat gun. What I did was peel away the two parts of the stick with 3 solder points each then use a heat gun and pliars to pull them out. From there I used wire cutters to cut as many of the remaining connections as possible leaving only 2 that were unreachable. From there, heat the opposite side of those two and pull it off. Finally I used the heat gun and a thin piece of metal to melt the solder and push the remaining connection pieces through the holes and spear them out. Soldering the new parts in is extremely simple compared to this. In all it probably took me 3 hours to complete but I could probably do it in under 1 now that I'm familiar with the process.Edit: do not use flux when soldering the sticks to the board. It can flow into the stick and muck it up requiring you to redo the whole thing

So I has stick drift with my analog joysticks and gave these one a chance to see how they did. After I replaced them, I came across a web site which you can calibrate your joysticks and do a re-center of them. I did not test my controllers before the replacement, so I have no idea what condition they where in. So the re-centering works well here, which is seen in one photo. But these new Hall Effect joystick would not calibrate out the circularity. I read this should be 6% or less, as you can see, I have 14.39% and 12.98%. One of my other used analog joysticks are just over 6%. So far, these being out of circularity have not been noticed in game use.UPDATE, 1/15/25, ON 2ND SET INSTALLED:My first pair, review above, was on a controller with the BDM-040 board, still working fine.I installed my 2nd pair on a controller and online testing a calibration went fine. Everything showed great. But in actual game use, the left stick would drift left REALLY bad. Checked online again, still fine. My board is a BDM-030 in this controller. I replaced the left joysticks again, then the right one that was working now drifts everywhere. Replaced both joy sticks again the the right goes crazy in the game. So, I would say DO NOT buy these if you have a BDM-030 board in your controller. All online testing and calibrations shows good always for all the sticks I replaced. Does not work in the real world.

Easy to install with the right tools ans work better than the original ones.

These worked like a charm! though after installation, you'll have to calibrate them so that they stay centered.
