Lovely mic
Lovely mic. Good reproduction of vocals. This Facebook live video was recorded during the pandemic using this mic. So it’s over 6 years since I purchased this mic. Couldn’t be more happier.

Better Than Others
Within the under 10k budget (For Condenser Mic), there's a lot of buzz around 'AT2020' and 'AKG P120'; everyone on YouTube talks about these two. (Some include the 'Behringer UMC22)'. But believe me, the MXL 770 and MXL 990 are very underrated. If your voice is thin, then go for the 'MXL 990', and if your voice is heavy like mine, then go for the 'MXL 770'. These are much better and superior to the 'AKG P120' and 'AT2020'." If you want cheap Dynamic Mic, Blindly Go Fo Fifine AM8 Or AM8T (With Stand)

Are you buying this for Home Studio or YouTube Channel? This review would help you.
Works like charm. Very good, crispy and clear Microphone. Its a small small diaphragms condenser microphone and I am using it for recording vocals and guitars and very happy with the results. The reason I gave it 4 star and not 5 is because: -> Does not come with a XLR cable and does not work with normal XLR cables. Need a good quality XLR cable which is costly. Of the 5 XLR cables I tried at different locations, it only worked with "Planet Waves Custom Series XLR Microphone Cable" and the XLR cable that comes with "Focusrite Scarlett Studio USB audio interface Recording Package". -> One more thing to notice here. Its a small diaphragm condenser Cardioid microphone. If you want a large diaphragm condenser Cardioid microphone and you have a little more budget, go for "Rode NT1 (or its Anniversary version Rode NT1-A)". -> You would also need a audio interface. I use M-Audio M-Track II USB Audio Interface (comes with free DAW) but you could use any. If you are in tight budget and only going to need only 1 Input, go for " Behringer UM2 Audio Interface " and if you could stretch you budget a little bit, go for " Focusrite Scarlett Studio USB audio interface Recording Package ". -> Also, if you are newbie, don't know much about Microphones, Audio Interfaces or XLR cable and just want all this stuff in bidget for your Home Studio recording or a YouTube Channel, I would recommend you to go one of the below option: i) MXL 770 Mic (approx Rs. 6000), Behringer UM2 AI (Approx Rs. 4300), a good quality XLR cable (Approx. Rs. 1500), Audio-Technica ATH-M20x Studio Headphones (Approx. Rs. 3200), Free DAW Audacity, Mic Stand - buy it from local shops (Approx. Rs. 600), Pop Filter (Approx. Rs. 500) -> Total Budget Approx. Rs. 16100/- or ii) Focusrite Scarlett Studio USB audio interface Recording Package that includes large diaphragm condenser microphone and other quality necessary gears such as AI, headphones etc. (Approx. Rs. 21000), Mic Stand - buy it from local shops (Approx. Rs. 600), Pop Filter (Approx. Rs. 500) -> Total Budget Approx. Rs. 22100/-

Best budget mic
This is the best mic for this budget, for the people who have thin voice, this mic gives you full sound, and of course with a little brighter high end but less then other mics like at2020 and akg. i preffer this mic for the people who have thin voice, if your are female vocalist, or a male with thin voice go for this one, but if you have alot of low end info in your vocals, you should go for brighter mics.

Received defected product 🤦♂️
I was fully satisfied with Amazon's products and services until this product. I have received defected item. It's cover is damaged and looks like it is already opened ( Image showned ). The mic also has scratch on the bottom ( Image showned). Though it was working when I tested , it is dead after 5 days. I want an original item replacement asap. I hope Amazon won't disappoint me again.

An exellant entry level mike with a good build
i bought this baby a few months back here on amazon.. and it arrived on time... A brief review: For the price u pay for this device, u get crystal clear recordings which can b compared to recordings of other higher priced mikes. The mike is quite sensitive being a condenser mike.. so even small sounds or noices near the diaphrgm will b captured..so an acousticly treated room is recommended for recording. The build of the mike feels solid. This mike is highly recommended for solo music artists wanting to do vocal recordings for youtube(wont recommend for documentary bcos i feel dynamic mikes perform better for that like the SM57) , It also does well with instrument recordings such as guitars etc. Pls note that this mike is not the ultimate in sound reproduction but if u are looking for a good condenser mike giving decent warm sound nd a solid build... u cannot beat this baby at this price

Good, not two bad. But the holder of the mic is very clumsy.
It's not bad, for the price it's good. Looks good as well. Buy another holder for the mic separately. It sounds not too bad, workable. It makes my voice little bit thin.

Sound Quality
In this price range mxl 770 won the game in comparison of at2020 and p120. Sound Quality is warm and neutral as well as without any coloring of frequencies but only problem is that you should keep this mic in a silent room because it captures all sound nearby you.
