Exceptional quality and performance.
I’m serious about my fitness, and this 4ft PhysKcal barbell has revolutionised my home workouts. I ordered the black, straight bar for weightlifting in my home gym, but the quality is so impressive that it belongs in professional gyms as well. To cut straight to the point: I’ve used this for a few weeks, and I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this bar. If you’re looking for an 8.5kg barbell, I highly recommend you get this one. The quality is exceptional, and you get your money’s worth. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Further detail: Function and performance: To clarify, this bar is smaller than the 20kg Olympic barbells normally used for dead-lifting; this is a thinner, shorter version that isn’t as intense. This 8.5kg bar is absolutely great for beginners, and for those looking to tone in classes with lower weights, I recommend it for women into weight-lighting as well. I use this bar primarily for chest presses, bicep curls, barbell back rows, hip thrusts, and shoulder presses, which it’s all very effective for. It does exactly what I need it to do, and it exceeds my expectations. The grip pattern on the bar is excellent and effective; my hands do not slide, and as someone who has smaller hands, it’s easy to wrap my fingers around the bar and grip the bar firmly and safely. I’ve found that both of the most popular types of collars lock onto the bar well without moving (the spring type and the quick-lock collar type). Also, my two-inch compatible plates fit securely onto the bar without wobbling. Quality: This barbell is truly heavyweight, robust, and sturdy. It is not cheap or tacky, and no corners have been cut on quality and care. This is shown by how well it was packaged, and it came with rubber guards at either end for solid protection. Additionally, the weight is even on both sides of the bar. This is truly a high-quality product, and the bar arrived in pristine condition. In summary, I’m a massive fan of this bar. Not only is it practical, trustworthy, and rigid, but it’s also a gorgeous-looking piece of equipment. I wouldn’t hesitate to order other bars from their range after this positive experience, too.

Functional and effective
Nicely weighted barbell. The finish is top notch and the weight is balanced over the bar.

Good bar, but check sizes to suit you
I've done a picture comparing this 4 ft 7.5kg bar with my standard 7ft 20kg bar to give you a measure of what its collar space looks like. I checked the weight on my scales and it comes out at about 7.5-7.6kg so spot on, good job there for being the stated weight. Now my weight plates are bumper and quite thick, so if you are using thinner plates this wont be too much of a worry but I would just about be able to get 70kg of plates on it. The bar is rated for 300kg which isn't bad for such a cheap bar, you would honestly struggle to get that much weight on it so you should be fine! The length of the actual collar for plates is about 16cm / 160mm / 6 1/4 inches as shown on picture. While this bar is advertised as a junior / women's / newbie bar please don't order based on this. A standard women's bar is 6 ft and 15 kg, though in fairness this wouldn't be a bad bar length and weight for juniors. What is more likely is that you are buying this for either space or as a secondary bar like me for specific movements. I'm planning on using this bar for my regular curl and wrist sets so I can keep my squat, press and deadlift on my main bar. Your other consideration for this size is if you use a rack, make sure your rack adjusts for the smaller size before ordering. What I am impressed by is that this feels like a fully fledged barbell with spin collars so your weights can turn while your hands don't. I appreciate they made the bar pink for advertisement, but it's functionally the same as if it were black and therefore I'm happy to use it. As long as you check your bar length for your hand placement, the collar length for the plates you intend to use it with, and the rack you intend to use too, this is a good bar at a fair price.

Excellent quality and fashion design
The PhysKcal 4ft Barbell offers exceptional quality and a well-thought-out design, making it an excellent choice for various training needs. Designed for use with 2-inch Olympic weight plates, it features smooth bushings and bearings that ensure a smooth, reliable performance during exercises. The barbell's classic standard design, combined with its robust construction, provides a blend of functionality and elegance that suits both home gyms and professional training spaces. One of the standout features is its finish, which not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also adds to its durability. Despite its slim profile, the barbell is surprisingly heavy and substantial, providing a solid and stable feel during workouts. This weighty construction ensures that the barbell can handle rigorous training sessions without compromising on performance or safety. During my practice, I was impressed by how well the PhysKcal 4ft Barbell performed. The comfortable grip and substantial weight made it perfect for targeting biceps and triceps, while the smooth operation of the bushings and bearings added to the overall experience. I love the finish and how it balances both style and strength, making it a reliable and attractive addition to any gym setup.
