Sun Tropics Dried Young Coconut 20oz

This is the best way to eat coconut. We use it in our trail mix. Yumm!

I've really enjoyed the dried coconut offered by Philippine. Sure, sometimes it's sugary and the texture can really vary from moist to dry, but I like it - and recommend it. So I decided to try the Sun Tropic, wondering if it would be similar, perhaps slightly better or not quite as good. It arrived as expected, in a package noting the product would expire in Dec 2016, so should be fresh. But yuk. Very disappointing. It's terrible, with an odd taste so bad I had to spit it out. I won't get this one again for sure.

Love this product but it is way too expensive to buy again.

The coconut was old and dry... I have to hydrate it with water before I can use it. Won't do this again....

I was very excited for this product! I have had a similar or identical product bought at a store such as Sams Club and I really want to see if it was the same one on Amazon! Sadly, do not let the happy packaging and great comments fool you. The first bite was filled with the taste of chemicals. I thought it was a mistake and so I tried another piece and it was the disgustingly the same. This product has a no refund policy so I had to throw the whole bag away and wasted $14. Not worth getting your hopes up
