These bearings are self aligning
The media could not be loaded. These self aligning bearings will allow installation of the 8 mm shafts without binding even if the work surfaces are not exactly parallel. Some reviews, I read the purchaser was confused because the bearing was not completely square in the housing. That is by design and was not a defect in the bearing. These will be very handy for my project and I can highly recommend them. Great product good price.

Suitable for low temperature low rpm applications
I asked about operating temperature limits. (Below 50 C.) Actual technical support! Yay!Bearing is self-aligning, so installation need not be perfect. This feature also allows access to the tiny (1.5 mm) set screws, which only seem inaccessible. If the bearing arrives seemingly misaligned that's not a flaw and is easily fixed.If a bearing is needed for a hot environment and high rpm, as in supporting a motor shaft, look for all metal bearings having no plastic or rubber seals. I've not come across such for self-aligning bearings, but that might be because that feature is not always desirable.Even though I needed a different bearing design, this product is reasonably priced for intended uses and the seller was responsive. All I can hope for.

Sturdy
Replaced plastic bearings on a rock tumbler. These make the shaft spin so much smoother and they take a beating.

Works for the most part
Works except the outer race that contacts the flange inner wall gets loose and rotates within the flange if your shaft is not centeredalso the the center-center screw hole should be 36mm , not 37mm, most KL08 parts are 36mm pitch

2 out of 4 bad
Very unfortunate that out of the box, 2 out of 4 of the bearings were bad. I have spare balls and races, so I replaced them, but it didn’t fix the issue. Something integral is wrong with them, causing them to bind and then skip. Going to have to disassemble my project to get the 2 good ones so I can return all 4.

25% Defective (Twice)
I received two orders, 4 items in each order. The first order had 3 bearings that turned smoothly. The 4th was hard to turn at first, and then had a gritty feel. It wouldn't have lasted long under load.Amazon sent me a new order (4 new pieces). The second set of 4 had the same problem. 3 turned smoothly, 1 felt gritty (just as before). Fortunately Amazon let me keep my first order, so in all I have what I need. But beware, I had two orders and 1 in 4 (both times) was defective.
