Overall Good Item
As we live in Cyprus I had to purchase the unit and bring it through in hand luggage, There was a few raised eyebrows at security but no real problems. The kit provided is good and the instructions are very clear. Connecting the unit to the mains water for copper 15mm is no problem but they do not provide a connection to plastic. Their are so many different sizes and types of plastic it would not be practical to provide all fittings whereas the 15mm copper is a fairly standard size in the UK. It is imperative as the instructions state to fit the on /off water unit with its relief valve as high as possible above the drain, this is the only drawback as there is not a great deal of room below a normal sink hence the four stars. There is also a drill bit provided to fit the drain off pipe into the plastic waste pipe. The tap was no problem to fit and I used the one shown on the picture. The only other comment I can make is the large on off symbol on top of the tank is the on/off switch but their is no feel to the switch ie (no click) but their is a red light that comes on and off to show the unit is ready. Overall the unit is working well just follow the instructions to the letter and the average DIY person will have no trouble fitting this item.

Complete waste of money if your water is hard.
This item is only worth buying if you live in area where you do not have hard water. In hard water areas they recommend you buy (from them, of course) an extremely expensive and completely ineffective filter. If you live in London - forget the Quooker. Unless you care so little for money that you are happy to jettison the item every six months when the flow begins to slow as it scales up then you are better off with a kettle.

Somewhat pointless if not for cooking
Only really useful for getting hot water quickly for cooking. If you use it for tea/coffee then the water tastes stale, as presumably it's sat in the tank for ages. The best way to describe the taste is if you have ever drunk out of the bathroom taps. I do live in a hard-water area so perhaps that's related. Overall a waste of money, completely inefficient also when compared to, say, using an induction hob to heat the water. Looks nice though.
