We purchased this bed for a guest bedroom. This bed is awesome. Typically whenever assembling products, most instructions, leave much to be desired, although we watched the video before the bed arrived, it was completely unnecessary as the bed is very intuitive to put together, and the instructions are extremely clear. The bed looks much more expensive than it is, and is very sturdy and very supportive for new memory foam mattress. Everything fit perfectly, this is not a cheap bed even though the price is not reflective of that. This bed is a very good value as it was a breeze to put together, we have been putting together furniture that we have purchased from Amazon and other sources recently, and the ease of which this thing goes together is just amazing. It’s really cool how they packaged all the parts you need into the headboard behind the zipper and although we have not done it yet, that could be a potential space for storage. Although I know it’s not good to use power tools on these assembly jobs. The little Allen key they give you normally makes the job so difficult that more often then I’d like to admit I bust out the impact, driver, and end up putting the items together that way. Usually it’s not a problem, but I have had some cheaper products were the screws are both have broken under the stress of a power tool. They had the brilliant idea to include a rachet with an Allen key, which curbed any desire to use power tools in assembling this product, even though they were in the room with me. All in all, it took less than 20 minutes to get this bed put together and it’s extremely comfortable with our new memory, foam, mattress, and sturdy. Would recommend and give extra stars, is it possible?.

I read a lot of positive reviews about this bed, which was one of the reasons I purchased it. I'm glad I did. I'm absolutely shocked at the quality of this bed for the price. To clarify, one of the things I wanted to know before I bought it was the actual color. It is a true deep navy blue and it looks like linen. It's gorgeous. It does not look like blue jean material, as a couple people described it. Assembly was a breeze and it was only by picture. Not many parts and I believe you could put it together if you didn't have any instructions at all. Not a lot of pieces. The little bit of hardware there was, was nicely packaged. No tools required. The frame and assembly pieces are in the back of the head board, in a zippered pouch. Very cool idea! But what I was really pleased with, as I put the bed together was how sturdy everything was. Once the frame was put together I was really surprised to find that there were velcro strips on the rails and the slats are firmly stabilized once velcroed to the bed rails. The slats go from the headboard all the way to the footboard which is really great for a platform bed, especially since I bought a memory foam mattress, also by Zinus. I had a full bed with a Zinus mattress and bought one for my queen bed because they are incredible for the price, as well. I went with an 8-inch mattress for this bed so that a lot of the headboard can be seen. Even if I'd gone with a 10 inch mattress it still would leave a lot of headboard to look at which is nice. Anything thicker than that and a lot of the headboard would be lost. Once it was all put together, my next question was going to be how sturdy was the entire bed going to be? Would the headboard be moving back and forth or hitting the wall or moving around? Nope. Sturdy and solid. Same thing when I get in the bed, am laying in the bed or getting off the bed. It's been a couple of weeks and no bad news to report. Very happy with the purchase and highly recommend.

I absolutely love our new beds! I spent time searching for an affordable bed frames that did not require a box spring. I dove into reviews and was sold. We needed something simple to assemble and beautiful —this checked both boxes. It arrived well-packaged and the quality is excellent—solid, sturdy, and reassuringly heavy. We bought this in several sizes !! Perfect choice!

I love this bed! I researched a LOT of queen size platform beds on several sites to redecorate my guest room in a mid-century modern style. I was looking at value, quality, size, free shipping and color. I originally wanted white but was not able to meet my criteria. This is a small room, only about 9.5ft wide, with only one wall a bed can be placed. I needed narrower width to have room for 2 nightstands and shorter to have room to walk around. It is only a difference of 2-4 inches but that made a big difference in this room. I chose this bed with the straight legs rather than more common MCM style slanted legs. I didn’t want my elderly parents tripping over the legs if they stuck out any. I kept coming back to this bed and I am so happy I purchased it. Pros: • Sooo easy to assemble- see pics. The instructions were easy to follow. One person could probably do it. 2 of us built it in about 45 minutes (stopping to take pictures). • Light weight- Opened box downstairs and carried pieces upstairs. Once constructed it is light enough to re-center. (w/o mattress) • Sturdy and slats fit snug with velcro. • Love the color of heather blue • Headboard was taller than most; allows plenty of room for taller mattress. (Pictured with OLD mattress) • Overall dimensions (LxW) smaller than a lot of beds which I needed in this very small room. Cons: • The tool provided didn't work great; recommend allen wrenches and a ratchet. • The headboard legs are not upholstered to the floor which would have looked nicer. By the time I added bedding and nightstands this didn't matter. • Pay attention to the measurements of your space if you would prefer a slightly more substantial bed. Tips: • Leave the screws slightly loose so you can adjust the fit of the pieces into each other and so you can fit the slats in at the end. If you tighten first the slats may not all fit between the side pieces. Loosening the screws made it easy to push the slats down into place. Then of course tighten them all. • No issues as in negative reviews- no bed bugs, no broken pieces, no torn zippers. Overall this bed was an excellent value, shipped in the timeframe indicated, easy to assemble and looks great. BTW the lamps and nightstands also were purchased through Amazon. Still working on the rug and design elements. I cannot wait to finish decorating this room.

For the price it seems very nice quality and very sturdy. Pretty easy to put together and the instructions were a little unclear at times but still easy enough especially with 2 people. Bed makes absolutely no noise and seems like a better quality than I expected. With a box spring, your mattress sits pretty high on this frame and the headboard may see kind of low, but still works just fine.

I had high hopes for this Zinus king bed frame after reading some of the positive reviews, but my experience has been pretty disappointing overall. The biggest issue is that the pieces just don’t fit together properly. There are noticeable gaps between sections, and no matter how much I adjusted or tightened the screws, it still didn’t align right (check out the pictures I’ve attached). It feels wobbly and unstable, which is the last thing you want in a bed frame. I’m honestly worried it’s not going to hold up over time because of this. On top of the fit problems, the assembly process was a complete headache. None of the materials or parts are labeled clearly—or at all, in some cases. The instructions are vague, and I spent way too much time trying to figure out which piece was which. It’s like a puzzle with missing clues. I’m not new to assembling furniture, but this felt unnecessarily complicated and frustrating. What should’ve taken an hour tops turned into a multi-hour ordeal, and even then, the end result wasn’t satisfying. The design itself looks decent once it’s together, and I’ll give it points for being sleek and modern. The price isn’t outrageous either, which is why I didn’t go straight to one star. But the poor quality control with the fit and the lack of labeling really drag this down. I expected more from Zinus, especially since they’ve got a decent reputation. Maybe I got a defective unit, but based on this, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re ready to gamble on getting a better batch than I did. For something as important as a bed frame, I’d rather spend a little more for something that fits right and doesn’t make assembly a chore.

I received this in the full size about a week ago. The FedEx guy actually helped me push it into the front of my apartment which was nice of him, as it was quite heavy; fortunately I never had to lift it. I pushed the large box into the bedroom, cut the cardboard carefully with a scissor blade, lay it on its side and slid out the headboard. Sure enough, on the back there was a sticker saying to unzip it, that everything is inside. After taking stock of what was included, I started assembling the bed. It took me just about an hour or so to assemble. The included Allen ratchet was excellent; I don't think it explains, but you push the metal part in the middle to the right as you screw in the screw and then push that little metal part to the left to help release the ratchet from the screw. Once I figured this out, assembly was pretty straightforward; you just have to make sure you put in the parts labeled 1 and 2 on the correct sides of the headboard, plus notice that the side boards parts H and I are reversed on the left and right sides. As for how the bed looks, I think it is beautiful and looks like a more expensive bed. I lay my newly purchased 13" heavenly Avocado Green with Pillowtop mattress (highest rated in "Consumer Reports") on it to let it fully expand and in a short while was able to test out the bed. The bed frame was sturdy, even and didn't squeak when I tried bouncing on the mattress. I can lay my head on the headrest while sitting on the bed, and it feels nice, soft and padded against my head. It just looks like a real grown-up bed with the matching blue soft material on the footboard of the bed as well on the left and right sides in addition to the comfy headboard. I'm very pleased thus far and hope, based on some of the other reviews, that this bed will last for years to come. The Avocado Green people actually recommended, among a few places, that I look at Zinus for a bed frame, and I'm so pleased I found this one. Also, there's about 7 inches height of storage space underneath which gives me ample room for some long plastic 6 1/2 inch high Container Store storage on wheels which I had. Plus the headboard, now clear of all the bed parts it came with, can be a good storage spot for things you might want out of sight -- just make sure it doesn't interfere with the feel of the nice comfy padding material. So this is a very functional as well as beautiful piece of furniture, and I highly recommend it.

Honestly, when I purchased this I wasn’t expecting much for the price. I was pleasantly surprised! The fabric quality is much better than I expected! Also, the bed frame is extremely easy to build! Most could probably assemble it with common sense alone. Also, the kit comes with a free rachet! This saved so much time with the screws. All the hardware is nice and top quality as well. They use rivet inserts which is by far a superior way to fasten things together for greater strength when compared to wood screws. My only advice is to ensure you double check the orientation of all the parts and ensure they match what the blue prints are showing you. The directions use pictures to show you have to assemble much like legos do. It’s critical that you check which sides are left and right, and the flanges are positioned correctly. Overall, this is a FANTASTIC bed frame for the price! Had this built in under a half hour.
