LOVE MY NEW TOASTER!!!
I love this toaster. It is PRETTY to look at along with the fact that it toasts your bread perfectly every time. The way the lever goes down is really cool, since it seems to click into place, when my old toaster seemed like it was on a spring. At any rate, every aspect of this toaster is great. Easy to clean crumb tray. It doesn't get all smudgy looking like the stainless-steel look toasters do. I love the white. It looks so clean and of course the best part is the toast, no matter if you are toasting wheat, white, or Rye bread. It is Simple to use, and the multiple functions for things like Bagels which are very thick, is not a problem for this toaster, since it has the extra-large slots for the bread. My toast taste even better now, since I got this toaster. I just love it.

RELIABLE, AFFORDABLE, TOASTER
I originally bought this toaster as a temporary solution until the one i wanted to buy was back in stock. But after using this toaster I no longer see the need in buying a more expensive one because this one does everything I need it to. At this price point you will NOT find a better toaster. It's simple, yet looks attractive on my counter. The shape and design makes it easy to clean. I have toasted bagels, and other types of bread in it and so far it works great. I notice in alot of reviews, not only for this toaster but many others as well, that people complain about the toasters not toasting "perfectly even". I never realized how many OCD people there were in the world until I read those reviews. LOL. The reality is no toaster will ever make a piece of toast exactly the same shade top to bottom, front to back. It's simply unrealistic due to science. Toast is toast. As long as it's toasted, and not burnt... who cares what it looks like? It is important to remember that different types of breads, and different brands of breads use different ingredients. Therefore my toasting experience may not be the same as yours. You have to experiment with your new toaster to find the settings that work for you based on the kind of bread you are toasting. Different ingredients in different breads cause them to toast within different time frames. My preferred setting on this toaster is 3. I started at 5, then 4, and kept going lower until I found a setting that didn't burn the brand of bread I buy. You will have to do the same. But once you find the heat level setting that works for your brand and type of bread, it's smooth sailing moving forward. I would also like to address the "chemical smell", "burning plastic smell" reviews. YES THERE WAS A BURNING SMELL THE FIRST TIME I USED THE TOASTER. It's normal when you are running electricity through heated metal coils for the first time. Again... this is science. It is to be expected. IT WILL GO AWAY AFTER A COUPLE USES. I turned on the toaster for 3 back to back cycles without bread, then 3 back to back cycles with bread that I threw away. After that... NO SMELL. Make sure you have the windows open when you do this. This is currently the #1 top rated toaster on amazon. I think it deserves that spot in the rankings. Buy it.

Nice toaster
Very nice toaster works well and I like all the toasting selections. Made for bagels too. And has a cancel button. Only issue, as I've had with other toasters, one side toast more than the other on the slice of toast. Otherwise nice toaster.

Toasted WAY unevenly for me, for single slices especially but also for double
I have a $7 toaster I got locally in 2020 and was looking to improve on it. I almost always make single slices and have to do the flip-upside-down/turn-around/re-toast thing with the one I have. Got this Cuisinart due to good reviews here and in articles, thinking it might actually toast single slices evenly without having to flip/toast twice. I like my toast medium but the instructions said for single slices to turn the browner down a bit due to the extra heat in the box. So instead of 3, I set it to 2. The one side that toasted over-toasted dark, but very unevenly (top half very light brown, center-bottom very dark, edges white) and the other side of the bread virtually didn't toast at all. Got a new piece of bread (this is standard white loaf bread, NOT soft like Wonderbread), so I turned the setting down to 1.5 and tried again. Came out lighter on both sides but just as drastically uneven from one side of bread vs the other, and within each side. Thought oh well, maybe you have to flip them all... flipped the toast so it faced the opposite direction and put it in upside down, turned down the browner a little... and the side that was already toasted over-toasted unevenly, while the other side also toasted unevenly, but about half as toasted as the flip side. What the... Out of curiosity then, I put in two slices, thinking it can't be this bad with the reviews it got... maybe it's just really bad at single slices... Had the browner on 3 and again the sides of bread facing the inside of the toaster were twice as toasted as the sides facing the outside, and both sides were very unevenly toasted. I'd seen enough, pulled out the crumb tray and rinsed it clean, gently shook out the toaster over the sink of any crumbs, waited until it cooled and packed it back up for RMA. My $7 toaster literally does a way better job than this one. At least the $7 one toasts evenly, even if I have to flip it, and both sides come out toasted to the same degree. I don't know how we can have a probe launched in the 70s that is still radioing back data from the edge of interstellar space, and can't come up with an updated design for toasters that toast evenly, with one slice or two. Much less one that doesn't need flipping for single slices.

first one sent to me had to be returned as some of heat elements not working - second one received still showed some heat elements not working so parts of bread are white and not toasted - small compact size good for limited kitchen space - suits my needs
