Best wrench set I've ever bought. Six point wrenches are the best doesn't round off bolts.

Built in a streamline but exceptional strong profile. Perform as expected and beyond. Thickness makes it easy to work in tight places.

Wrenches fit well on bolts. There's a good selection in this kit. They don't skip sizes which is nice. The finish is great and seems to hold up.

As someone who's used Gearwrench as a hobbyist's version of snap-on tools, I've yet to be disappointed in the quality of their tools. This is the third offering from Gearwrench that I've reviewed as part of the Vine program, and like the other sets it offers fantastic quality at a price that won't break the bank. I appreciate the use of steel versus chrome vanadium for many reasons. It allows the wrench to be thinner and last longer; but more importantly, they just feel better. It somehow feels more "correct". If that's not an issue, you can find similar sets from Harbor Frieght with moderately less quality and longevity, but at a lower price. The inclusion of Torx wrenches is a unique and very appreciated touch. As someone who occasionally works on modern motorcycles and often thinks, "where on earth did I put my Torx bits," I will take as many options as I can fit in a toolbox. I wish Gearwrench would do a better job on packaging. For the price, I'd like something more than a plain white box. Actually, the white box would be fine if I wasn't greeted with a nearly empty foam block and a pile of wrenches at the bottom of the box. Another issue is that it doesn't really fit in any of my toolboxes. Maybe Gearwrench could design a smaller foam block supplemented with foam shims to customize it for your specific toolbox, or a system similar to the pre-cut, adjustable foam like you'd find in a Pelican case. At the time of writing this review, the price of this set was $269.00. That's certainly pricier than the Harbor Freight set mentioned earlier, but I expect that these tools will last much longer. Also, the Gearwrench warranty is a lifetime warranty, as in they don't care how old the tool is; if it fails, they'll replace it.

If you are a weekend grease monkey like I am, I am always looking for better tools so i can work on my car. I have gone through my share of different brands and all work pretty much the same until you have a stubborn bolt and anything above normal pressure causes the grip to release and you slam your knuckles, swear, and try it again. So there is a difference between buying discount tools and buying higher quality tools, these are definitely on the higher end, above Craftsman and about on par with Snap-on. The chrome finish is nice and easy to wipe off when done, many wrenches have a textured finish which is great for a little more grip, but if you spill oil on them or use them while working in the engine, they stain and the only way to get them clean is a chemical bath. The polished chrome is nice since they wipe off very easily and can be returned to their designated slot in the foam case without ruining the case with grease. The case itself is made to be placed in a workshop toolbox drawer and to keep everything organized. It would be nice if it had a case for portability but it is nice to be able to keep all the tools organized instead of throwing the tools into a drawer and spending 10 minutes looking for the right size. Overall I am impressed with this tool set, yes it is pricey but worth the investment.
