I would be lying if I said I hadn't repaired phones multiple times. I love to tinker and repair tech, and the great thing about repairing devices like your smartphone is that it is WAY cheaper than getting a full fledged repair and may even save you from terrible repair companies.But I must admit, many phone screen replacement kits out there feel very sketchy in terms of quality and advertising. They will plaster whatever words they can pull out of a Thesaurus just to make it appealing, but sometimes miss out on key aspects of the kit. There are guides with poorly translated English and unclear steps, and some screens may have some altered aspects like different color quality or even resolution if the screen is that cheap.I got this kit to repair a shattered iPhone X that my friend gave to me. I was actually kind of nervous since I haven't repaired phones like this, which can get more complex than previous generations. Thankfully, the kit not only comes with instructions, but those instructions are clear, use proper English, and have many high-res pictures to follow you through! The tools also utilize better quality plastic and metals than what I've seen in other kits. Nothing important, but it is a plus to know that these tools will last you longer than others. However, I LOVE the magnetic pad that came with it too. It makes the difference when it comes to keeping track of all those screws and plates, and is big enough to even organize them!Finally, the screen works just as advertised and also came with a layer for the adhesion strips too. That's where it got a bit tough, though, as the adhesion strips did not come off so easily and I had to separate it bit by bit whereas it looked way easier in the guide. I did press it down all around for a few solid minutes so that it would be pressed onto the area and even cleaned the area a bit beforehand to ensure no dust was in the way, but it still wouldn't stick so well. But I did get it eventually. I hope it was just my kit or something I may have missed. Also, the screen appeared a bit pixelated when I turned it on, although it wasn't noticeable from the typical distance you'd hold the phone. Additionally, I think it's more of a software issue and having something to do with a factory reset, so I'll have to investigate later. But yeah, really the only thing I'd count against the screen was the adhesive as the resolution drop was certainly the OS itself.Overall, a solid kit! I highly recommend snagging this if your screen is messed up and don't wanna drop an entire paycheck to fix it. The advertising may look a bit sketchy, but from my experience, it's a must have if you know how to use a screwdriver :)

The screen was of good quality and very easy to install. All iPhone features, including Face ID and touch responsiveness, worked perfectly after installation. Definitely great value for money

With this screen I had a few issues... First let’s start with the tools.... The main screw driver tool to use to get the 2 bottom screws on the iPhone was not molded properly. I had to use an old tool from when I used to repair older iPhones. The pry tools provided aren’t the best, just flat plastic triangles. I also ended up using an old pry tool I had that had a thinner point.Once opened, the installation was pretty straight forward and the screw mat definitely helps keep things where they need to go.After installation, the screen did work and turn on. But after a day or so it started to show signs of failure. First, the screen would click things even when I didn’t press anything. When I would press something, it seemed to click that same button a few extra times.(eg. when entering my password to unlock my phone. Got locked out for the first time for to many tries.) Next, I began to notice that the screen seemed to be burning the background onto the screen. (eg. looks like that picture burn you get on your home tv if you leave the same picture for too long. This screen I could see all the apps from my home screen faintly in the background while in an app.)Finally, the screen just ended up failing. It was not dropped. Even if it were to have fallen, I have a case and a screen protector and the screen protector was still fully intact as well as the actual screen glass. Seems the actual screen itself cracked some how..I have removed this product and have reinstalled my old screen which never had a screen protector on and also the glass is very badly cracked... but still works.. as you can see in the photos.1st shows the damage of my old screen2nd is my old screen lit up to show it still works3rd photo is their product.Also the screen protector on my broken screen is reused from their broken screen..I would have to say though, the waterproof seal was definitely tough when I was trying to remove the screen..Not sure if this is how all their screens are, maybe it was a bad batch... but this was just my experience.

The kit comes with everything you need to replace the screen, including a new screen cover. The instructions were, I have to say, the best instructions ever to come out of China! Grammar, sentence structure, clarity of instructions, all perfect, including step-by-step pictures, really well done. The 4-star review, as another reviewer mentioned, there is a bright spot on the screen, it's a little distracting, but you only see it on brighter pages. In the photo above, next to the "W" in the Whole Foods article. Overall a good replacement and better than the $300 quote I got here in Vegas.

Sweet! Perfect fit, comes with all the tools needed, and instructions included. Screens is definitely good quality and works perfect. I'd buy again for sure if needed.
