I got this lock to replace the previous Master lock I was using on my gate. I lost one of the keys...and I like to have two handy. This one is much better. The other wasn't designed specifically for outdoor use, and had started to rust anyway. So this one is much better, and more protected from the elements, especially the small cover for the key slot. I'm sure I'm going to like this one much better, and have it for a long time.

Bought a 3 pack knowing I would only use one but for the cost it made sense. I didn't realize there are only 2 keys total and the locks are all the same. My bad but I anticipated 3 locks w/ keys for each. I tend to lose keys and since I was down to 1 for my old lock I made this purchase. Not sure if I can get some duplicates made to have on hand b/c most certainly I'll eventually have locks to spare w/o a key. Re the packaging and in response to other reviews I struggled with scissors for a moment and then realized the simple solution was to simply unlock it and slide it off the loop. Sometimes I feel like such a dope.

I would recommend buying this lock for your indoor/outdoor needs. I enjoy the sturdy feel of the shackle while the lock remains easy to use. This it’s has been outside for several months the and still opens like it did on the first day.

Bought this for my outdoor tool shed. It seems heavy duty and is protected if it gets wet. It’s gotten wet quite a few times and the key hole and lock portions work like it is brand new. It’s very easy to unlock and lock. I’d definitely recommend this product and the price was fair.
