Great fit and movement.
These are great for running, they are similar to what I when I was in the military call "Silkies". These are light, allow for breathing and have built in "cargo" underwear to keep things where they should stay. I wear them to do my morning PT before work, they are quality, comfortable and a great value.

Great shorts - nearly perfect
Finally: Running shorts that check all the boxes. They're light. They're super comfortable. They include a snug and comfy inner liner (which is black, which I like). They feature an internal drop pocket for your keys. They're shorts that are *short* and don't hang down to your knees or slap against your thighs when you run. They feature a big, soft, wide waistband with generous elastic in it. So they fit to size and stay in place snugly; you don't even need the included drawstring, although that's a nice feature. The big waistband, however, is also a drawback, in that it's over an inch tall, and hugs your waist like a band of tape. In other words, whereas the shorts keep you cool, the waistband gets hot. So I'd deduct half a star for that drawback; still, these are great running shorts, and a good value for the price. I can recommend them confidently.

Best Shorts I've Found
If you exercise or swim, these shorts are perfect because a 3 inch inseam will not hang up on your legs nor will they touch the rim of a public toilet wiping other men's pee off it like most men's shorts today do. The price is decent, fit is descent and the quality of material is good. It's all I wear now in the summer and they show my tanned legs from top to bottom. Only problem I find if you want to call it a problem is these shorts looking at a lot of women's eyes. Or maybe women's eyes are looking at them, either way they can be a distraction to women if you take care of yourself and wear these. I used to wear NIKE running shorts but they were more than twice the cost and the fit of NIKE was a bit too snug, these shorts are perfect for everyday wear when its warm out. It would be nice if G Gradual made a version of these with at least one zippered pocket. A zippered pocket could be either in the traditional location or even place it just inside the waist ban in front for things like car keys and money. I also have their 3 inch shorts with zippered pockets which I also like, those are thicker which is better for putting a cell phone in the pocket due to weight of the phone. Not sure if a heavy phone can be placed in these but a zippered pocket for other items would be nice but only as a different version as I like these the way they are too with a small tuck pocket inside for my car key fob. The G Gradual logo sort of looks like a military Sergeant patch which is cool. I just hope they don't eventually try to make them cheaper quality as they are good they way they are. I now have 30 pair and may buy more if they gave me a discount.

Overall decent pair of running/athletic shorts
I am overall happy with my purchase. Opinions are subjective, but here are my pros and cons with this item.Pros:*The fabric feels great. It is lightweight with plenty of stretch.*I really like the 3” inseam, and how it looks. The minimal fabric allows these shorts to be also be worn as underwear with jeans or slacks with minimal binding.*I was initially worried before buying them that the wide waistband would look or feel awkward, but it turns out that I like it.Cons:*I really don’t care for the brief liner in these shorts. It seems bulky and baggy compared to other shorts I’ve owned. I’m not a big fan of brief liners in running shorts anyway, but I particularly don’t like the liner in these shorts. I carefully removed the liner and the key pocket, and it is so much better. For perspective: the brief liner weighs more separately than the shorts weigh separately, to give you an idea of how bulky the liner is.* Although I am not particularly bothered by this, the shorts do seem to run smaller in the waist than my other shorts that are size medium. I thought it was worth mentioning. You may want to consider going a size up if you don’t like a more snug feel.* I don’t regret my purchase, but I do think the price of the item for what you get, is a little bit high.Overall, I do recommend these shorts, I just wished they had an option of getting them without the brief liner, and that they were priced a little more reasonably.

Good choice
Fit is perfect, fabric is soft and comfy. I like the camo pattern and the color is nice and dark. Great purchase for a workout short!

No pockets! :( :(
I had been looking for some 3" dark purple men's shorts, and it felt like destiny when I found these. Put them on, they fit super comfortable and look good. Unfortunately I was going to wear them to the gym for the first time today when I realized they don't have pockets! They just have a little inside insert for a small wallet or keys. Then I noticed the wider waistband. Went into my girlfriend's laundry and found an extremely similar pair her shorts, in fact these look identical. I'm not sure if they are branded men's on accident, but no pockets won't work for me. 3 stars.

Perfect workout shorts
I really like these shorts for working out, especially on hot days. Complete freedom of movement and super comfortable material. I especially like the waistband, doesn't roll at all.

These shorts have everything you need and more.
These are much nicer than I would have expected. I love the waistband. It contains a jock and is ready for swimming with a cinching lace that goes through the comfortable waistband. These are better than most swim shorts one could purchase. I've worn this style for many years and if these hold up they will be my new go-to.
