I got this remote as another spare as I've been having bad luck with TV remotes lately. It's a functional replacement that does exactly what I wanted/needed it to. I've had previous remotes that worked but didn't utilize all of the functions such as the pointer or didn't connect fully to the TV. This one connected with ease and worked right out of the box. It comes with no batteries so that's something to be mindful of when making the order. The buttons feel firm and the remote feels right in the hands, without the sensation that it would easily slip or feeling so large as to be unwieldy. You don't have to push too hard on them to get them to register and it has a good range too.I recommend this remote for anyone needing a replacement or someone who just wants a spare. I have an LG smart tv and needed a replacement remote after my dog chewed the last replacement remote. This remote connected to the tv right away after I placed batteries. You will need batteries as none were provided. The remote buttons are of good quality and the pointer appears after moving the roller button. The only issue I have is when I press the volume up or down buttons my surround sound unexpectedly powers on. That can be a little annoying because I don’t use surround sound every time I watch tv. So I must then use the surround sound remote to adjust the volume or power off the surround sound.

Overall, this remote workes very well with my LG UM73 series TV. The voice control can sometimes go on the fritz, however, with attempts to use the microphone button resulting in warnings about the quality of voice recognition or even an occasional request to reset voice recognition settings (which I can never figure out how to do). All in all, however, this remote is very handy as a much lower than OEM price replacement for a remote that one day just stopped working. For the last two to three years we’ve had duct tape on the back of our remote lol. We’re always loosing the batteries, especially when the kids have the remote! This replacement worked perfectly out the box, no set up required at all just like it states in the description! Happy to no longer be digging through cushions and under the couch, hoping a small, small child or dog has an ate the battery!

We have two remotes, but one was not voice compatible. My partner liked that functionally on my remote, so I grabbed this one. Pairing was pretty strait forward and ran into no issues. Mic worked out of the gate. Excited to not have my remote stolen!

This is identical to the original. It looks like it could have been made in the same factory. In my picture, this is the one on the left, the original one on the right has the 'LG' logo on it. To pair it to the TV, you just hold down the center scroll wheel button and you get a message saying a new remote is being registered. Be aware that my LG TV will only support 1 'magic' remote so registering the new one made the old remote lose it's 'magic' capabilities (voice and pointer functionality) but the old one still works everything on the TV via the buttons and cursor switches.
