Purchased it for the FE exam. Worked really well, easy to use and is able to solve integrals and derivatives with fairly easy input. Would hands down recommend for students or engineers. The buttons are easy to read and the screen works well. It has a lot of functions I haven’t even looked at.

I needed to purchase this for my trade. It’s a solid calculator with many features. It is a little slow with extraneous calculations but it definitely gets the job done. I recommend.

This calculator is very nice if you like the fx-115ES PLUS 1st Edition. After trying this calculator, I like the 1st edition a little better so far, but I'm gonna keep using it. I like the distinct key colors of the 1st edition, but I like the rectangular shape of the 2nd. I mainly use this calculator for Decimal, Binary, Hex conversions. It is great. One improvement on the 2nd edition is the display is slightly less recessed. Why do they recess these LCD displays at all? Why? Notice in the picture that the 1st edition has a darker shadow on the LCD display (more recessed). I might give this calculator to one of my students who is taking a math class and has to rent this calculator. I've not found one yet.

Who doesn't love the old fx83 GT plus calculator. Its something you expected to be with you forever. growing old together, experiencing life's highs and lows. However for me, this dream was short lived. After roughly 10 years together my fx83 GT plus got me through school, university and my PhD. But no further. It took me some time to heal but eventually, when I felt ready I started looking again. Then I found the fx115 ES plus. While we are still newly together I get the same sense of ease and commitment to working out problems as with the fx83 GT plus. It works well, adds subtracts and lots of other stuff. If youre in a similar boat to myself and feel its time to move on, the Casio fx-115ES Plus is a good choice.
