Greenleaf Willow Dollhouse Kit - 1 Inch Scale

I purchased this as a project for my daughter and I to put together. So far so good. Some instructions are a little difficult to understand but nothing looking up on the internet can't fix. We are having a blast working on this!

I ordered this dollhouse and Sheet #1 was missing. I tried to call Greenleaf Consumer Support Today and last Friday. Their general mailbox was full. I just went online to investigate and apparently, the mailbox has been full since early 2023. Their last Facebook post was about the same time. And according to other customers, never mind trying email. I have been ordering from Greenleaf Factory Store and in the last few years through Amazon for 20 years and this is only the second time a sheet has been missing. This is NOT Amazon's fault. Beware.

This house is adorable, but has been a nightmare to put together. The directions are not helpful as none of the parts are labeled. And we have had to sand all of the pieces because they are too rough as is. We have our retired general contractor grandpa working on it he is challenged on this TINY house project more than a big house--he says! Ha! It's not together quite yet, so I'll have to update this on how the finished product looks.

After looking over all the parts the wood is a bit rough one part tree was broken but no parts were damaged this is a tough piece to build and is not for inexperienced builders. This will take some time to build but it will be well worth it when its done.

This doll house KIT is a true test of your patience and skill. I would not recommend this kit for a pure novice builder. I built the 6 room furniture kit first then started on the doll house. Make sure you read through the entire instructions first before doing anything. Then make a plan that details what each room will be. Decide what you are going to do with the floors...wood finish, carpet etc. Decide on the paint or wall paper for each room. I highly recommend that you build AND finish the sub-assemblies first (stairway, 1st floor fireplace wall, etc. Next layout your lines on the outside walls for the clapboards and the roof panels for shingles. Next finish the floors and the interior walls and ceilings. Once interior finishing is complete go back to the first instruction and start the assembly of the house. Outside finishing is last and takes some time and a lot of hot glue. If you have questions call the toll free help number in the plans. They will be a big help. It's a great product when completed.

If 0 stars was an option that is what I would give. Maybe I just got a bad one. That happens. The plywood layers came apart on many of the pieces, the directions were difficult to understand, the siding buckled after I painted it. I spent lots of hours trying to make this for my granddaughter and finally put it (almost completed) on the curb for the trash man. Go to Real Good Toys, pay a little more and get yourself a great dollhouse kit that you will really enjoy. (I got mine through Amazon)

Horrible wood. It's thin and splinters. Sanding makes it fall apart. If I ever finish it I doubt it will hold up for long. Looks great in pictures but there's not much you can do about poor quality. Some of the slots barely line up with the tabs. Should have spent more money on something better.

The rooms are big so planning the rooms is easier, including using the attic into an office/music/game room.
