WHY
The rake is fine, presumably. I haven't used it yet. What I do not understand is why every tool bought from Amazon COMES SHRINK WRAPPED IN AN OIL SPILL'S WORTH OF BLACK PLASTIC.It took me about 20 minutes of peeling to open the layer after layer of plastic it comes bound in. The plastic is tightly taped every few inches to further seal it. It really is a serious chore and effort to open the thing, requiring determined use of scissors and a knife, which could well cause an injury to someone who slipped. It also means the product inevitably gets scratches on it anyway, making the wrapping totally redundant.Seriously it's a garden tool, it's meant for hard use. I don't care if it gets a tiny scratch in the van. Just put it loosely in one plastic bag if you have to.
